Chelsea Chowder House & Bar

I had a solo dinner here tonight in between phases of an event I was attending. Service was great. I ordered the wedge (I can't help it- I love those things!) And the crispy skin salmon with shaved cucumbers and pickled ginger. I could have done without the ginger but the cucumbers, sauce and salmon were flavored really well. The salmon was *just* this side of too done but I was pretty hungry and with the cucumbers and sauce it was fine. I don't know who claimed the portions are too small but both my salad and the salmon were PLENTY of food. I *did* watch a couple of bigger guys not finish their lobster rolls, so you might be wary of ordering that. Also- it's quite dark. I saw more than one person using their phones to read the menu. It's nothing fancy, really like an old side deck transformed into a restaurant.

Excellent food, friendly and attentive service, large portions, and reasonable prices given that it's housed in a major tourist attraction. In other words, everything to like and nothing to dislike. The views of the harbour are also outstanding. Reservations are a good idea.

This restaurant is fantastic, I had the opportunity to come with all my family to celebrate a birthday and they treated us super. the dishes are produced with fine ingredients, you have a flavor that takes you to the same sky. the attention of the waiters is excellent. cleanliness and impeccable service. It is a place with a pleasant atmosphere and very easy to find parking. If you are looking for a place to impress someone, this is the ideal restaurant.

Although we didn't like our room, we did like this restaurant. Last we were at the Queen Mary we dined at Sir Winston's, and really loved the service and dining experience. Chelsea Chowder House was pretty good too! I had the crispy skin salmon w/shaved cucumbers and ginger. Loved it. My BF had the double pork chop. He said it was good, but large cut. So if you order this, be very hungry otherwise be prepared to have a to-go box.
