Love the ambiance. I mean you can take a fancy cruise dinner without leaving the harbor. The food is a 3. I am giving a 4 to the ambiance and wait staff. The bar area has a nice old world charm to it with live music. Hint....you do not need tickets to get on the Queen Mary just show them your reservation and they will let you in.
Sir Winston's is a look into history with some pleasant modern amenities. Set on one of the top decks of the Queen Mary, the restaurant stretches back to give diners great views of downtown Long Beach. The menu is well executed chop house fare, with some throwbacks that you might see on an archival menu from when the ship still sailed and some updates to more modern tastes. The service was great, with our very attentive waiter chiming in with some esoteric trivia about the ship at the end of the night. You pay a premium for a great meal on a historic landmark, but Sir Winston's lives up to the special occasion.
We dined here last night for a friend's wedding, there were roughly 30 of us. Considering the amount of us, all plates were timed well and everybody ate each course together. The only thing that was missing was a decent steak knife. The service was impeccable and the food was excellent. The views over the ocean are absolutely stunning. The bar tender was cheery and very friendly, the staff were professional. Everyone enjoyed their food and not one of us was disappointed. Overall a beautiful evening. Would most definitely return for a special occasion.
The food was great. The service was great. It was fun to enjoy some nostalgia and history while enjoying fine dining. I recommend it for a special occasion.
Had a business group dinner here and the food was very good. Had the scallops, clams, escargot, and clam chowder - delicious. It's more of a formal restaurant, classy by WI standards, but would recommend for a nice dinner with close friends/family. I will comment that they were accommodating for those in the group wearing blue jeans. Would recommend sport coat if you have it as you may show up underdressed compared to the other patrons.
