“I like the idea of this eatery. I like it’s philosophical meanderings. The food is ethical. Non-violent practice as the name suggests. But the taste of the food I got wasn’t that great. I ordered a Reuben which was made with a too-Smokey tempeh that was both unpleasant and inedible. I don’t know what variation was used to produce that awful flavor. The rest of the menu looks nice with bowls and sandwiches. Perhaps I had ordered something really off the beaten path.”

“This place is AMAZING. I ordered the Mexican Mocha Latte, fell in life right away. Perfectly brewed and the taste..... oh man just try it yourself!! Also I ordered the pan fried chicken sandwich. AMAZING. so delicious with the perfect amount of coleslaw! My date got the chicken pot pie and LOVED IT. soft homemade biscuit on top was so soft! Would tell everyone to go here if I could! “This place is amazingly delicious! Chicken, Asada and Al Pastor were the meats chosen today. Tried everything pure without any salsas and the flavors burst in your mouth. And all the meats were tender and perfect morsel size. Handmade tortillas!! And they really do have An amazing taste and quality compared to “regular” tortillas. They have a little salsa bar, and both the red and green were delicious. Will definitely be making this a regular eatery.”

“We love Cinemark at the Pike. For years it has been the only movie theater I would consider going to. The reclining seats are clean and huge and comfy like sofas. The concessions are great, including Starbucks and alcohol. And there's a cute little photo booth that you can use if you like that sort of thing. The parking garage is clean and organized and If you park on the 3rd floor there is a bridge leading straight from the garage to the shopping center so you don't have to wait in an elevator. of course there is validation. So it's free. It's in a beautiful part of town by the ocean. The drive along Ocean Boulevard is gorgeous. And most recently I became a movie rewards member which means I save money every single month, and get 20% off concessions which you know is a big deal. As a family we have always come here. It's simply the best. And really the reason we first started coming here was because it was cheaper than Edwards or regal which I didn't even understand because they don't even compare. This place was brand new & sparkling. It was simply a no-brainer.”

“I was in need of a different taste, The Corona virus has caused me to a robot of sorts, same taste different place. I had to explore and cause myself to do something out of the norm. And I did and ended up at "The Green Olive". I ordered the Lamb chop plate and just like that I felt like a newborn babe experiencing sugar for the first time. My eyes were wide open, my feet were dancing under the table, and I think I was humming some cool tunes. Delicious, delighted, and down right good flavored food. I'll be back for sure.”

“Open again...outdoor seating is available and so enjoyable. We had a great meal and really appreciated the friendly service from Dorothy and Callie. The chicken... perfectly moist and crispy and seasoned. The Sunshine lemon curd is amazing and my kids love Dulce de liege because of the ice cream. It is actually really good. Also the bisque is so so good. Waffle Love is back to normal hours and has outdoor seating. Masks required when ordering and all the precautions are being taken for safety.”

“It’s a hit or miss here sometimes they have enough people working to make the drinks sometimes they don’t have enough people and it takes forever for their drinks. And now it’s annoying because they close at 6pm. What’s the point of a Starbucks here if they’ve got to close early? Hire people who are willing to work after 6pm. The ones closing today are still in there standing and talking and making themselves drinks.”

“So this is my home SB, I live about 3 minutes away when I get the green light at Studebaker Rd. People are always friendly like the culture is a little different here than the ones on Spring/Palo Verde and Bellflower/Stearns. It's nice here. Maybe because my wife and frequent this establishment and they know us already. It's a good thing really. The drinks made here are a little better too, maybe I'm a little bias but for some reason, the Cold Brew (black/no water) tastes better to me. I think it's because they clean their water filter regularly. That makes a big difference.”
