Good food, a little pricey but the quality of ingredients and preparation is wonderful. Presentation is also spot on. Perfect date place. Free 2 hr parking with validation on weekdays!

If the Michelin guide ever comes back to Los Angeles, this place should merit a mention. The chef owner, Brandon Hayato Go trained at Ishikawa, a Michelin 3 starred kaiseki restaurant in Tokyo and his training there in cuisine and hospitality certainly shows in his very intimate restaurant located in DTLA’s The Row.

I’ve been to Hayato for both the daytime bento box to-go and for the fine dining kaiseki dinner (omakase meal lasting around 3 hours) and look forward to going back multiple times.

This is probably one of the best kaiseki restaurants in America right now. Go while they are still under the radar, my experience here was not unlike meals I've had at kaiseki restaurants in Tokyo and Kyoto.
