Place was crowded , we arrived at 815pm and was turned away by Elijah b/c he said he was under staff. We wasn't offered take out instead, we had to ask for it. I asked for a drink while we wait for our food the bartender told me I had to wait b/c she helping the ppl in the kitchen. After a while the hostess, went behind the bar to make drinks, i asked her she said sure. The young lady even let me taste the different flavors b4 i purchased my aunt and Myself a drink. About 40 minutes later we received our food and Elijah who was rude to me earlier came back and asked dis i need anything. I let him know i didn't like how he treated me earlier his customer service wasn't good. He apologized and got me some ketchup. My food the fried crab legs was good batter was a little salty for me and drink was good too.

The food was amazing! I see why there is always a huge crowd! Good food will keep you coming back like that. The ambiance and music (hip hop/r&b) creates a good vibe while your inside. The seasoning, the portions and the pricing were all good in my opinion. The fried seafood platter, mac n cheese and seafood boil are must trys. Most of all the customer service was on point. Cosmic the manager did an outstanding job making sure guests needs were met and doing multiple tasks helping out the staff in the kitchen, behind the bar and on the floor. It's rare that I give detailed reviews like this but this was well deserved. Keep up the great work KQ-La, we need quality black businesses to stay in business and this kind of well ran place well make sure of that

The food portions were great. The crab legs were a great size. We ordered the mild and spicy. The spicy means spicy! The music was a little loud, but my 25 year old daughter loved it. And it was her Birthday, so that is what mattered. I thought they would have sang Happy Birthday to her after sharing with the waitress that it was her Birthday, but that did not happen. Also, be careful when going to the restroom. The kitchen door swings out and the kitchen staff moves fast. Overall, great place!

Since they are still in the early stages of "opening", I'd highly recommend to get there early if you don't want to wait in a line outside. The food is good. A younger crowd is mainly its customers. Decent music to jam to while eating. The daiquiris are pretty good and flavorful. And yes, you must pay for your food before you get it. When I was there, the servers did try their best to accommodate any errors that came about. Overall, I would say give them a chance.
