The Spot On Pico (REOPENING 2021)

Having this place shut down was a grieving experience. I LOVED this place and I am still their biggest fan. The concept and how lowkey it was truly made the spot a gem. I can’t believe it’s been 5 years or more but I remember the food like yesterday and day dream about it more than I’d like to. The chicken and sauces was the best I’ve ever had in my entire life. There was also some dessert with jam that was amazing. The first time I had this place I felt a new type of high. I know I sound crazy but this is how insanely delicious it was. I hope they aren’t playing and really do open back up because I’d go every week twice a week. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD OPEN BACK UP :’) I will mark my calendar on the opening date.

One of the best kept secret in LA. If you want a good meal late night on the weekend, then this is the spot to go to.

This is my 3rd time here and my first time leaving a review. I am truly convinced these wonderful people are the real deal and the food is amazing! I've tried other southern / soul food restaurants and the bar has been raised to a new standard. Love this place, the food, the atmosphere.

O.M.G....Best soul food in LA! You know it's legit because it doesn't even have a sign, just a string of lights letting you know there's some kind of something in the middle of this dark street. 3 tables out front & you walk into a literal hole in the wall to order!

It's ONLY open 9pm-2am Thursday, Friday & Saturday

Everything was Amazing, and really bad for you xP I would not be surprised in the least if there is a grandma cooking in the back

The dinner box ($15) is the perfect deal & comes in a cute little picnic kind of box. My favorite sides were the corn, meat & potatoes & mac n cheese. The waffle sticks are like funnel cake, I had to get a whole seperate order of then! Lol

Excellent service and great staff. Lots of street parking available. Get the supper box - trust me on this.
