My wife and I recently stayed at the Belamar Hotel in Manhattan Beach and felt like eating somewhere nearby. We were pleasantly surprised to find this charming Italian restaurant within a couple blocks of the hotel. The atmosphere was lively, the food was delicious, and the service was outstanding.

Really loved the food here! Extremely well prepared and incorporated ingredients I didn’t think I would like but made them just as tasty as the ingredients I knew I liked. The only reason I’m giving four stars is because the service was extremely slow. It took us almost two hours to order, get our food, and get the bill paid. Our waiter seemed to be standing around instead of coming to check on us.

It's a nice place. we were there for lunch. food was delicious. the guy who was helping us was very nice until we paid the bill, his face changed and was very mad, maybe he didn't like the tips (more than 10% of total bill).

Went with a small group from work. The place is nice and the service is what one would expect from an upscale (to me) eatery. We had appetizers including Spicy Tina Spring rolls which were delicious but not very filling, Caramelized Brussels sprouts who knew Brussels sprouts could taste so good? Calamari Frito Misto well cooked and lots of it, it's cooked like tempura. Indian spiced spinach dip was the last appetizer it was very good as well.
I had the wood fire roasted chicken, it was delicious and very filling, saved a third of it for dinner. The pizza Pepe looked good as well, I was a bit jealous of it. I would have gone for the fish and chips but I was more in the mood for steak cut fries and it came with shoestring fries. I might go for a sandwich next time, they look good and are considerably less expensive than the other meals. I only didn't get a burger because I figure I can get a burger anyplace.
