Urban Plates

I called to ask if they could send 10 meals to nurses at Little Company of Mary to thank them for taking care of my husband. The general manager comped half the meals and took the meals to the hospital himself. He then called me to say they had arrived and the staff was "thrilled." What a mensch. The food is great and Urban Plates' spirit is even better!

We really like this new Manhattan Beach location. The interior decoration is very nice and the exterior seating is cool with fire pits. The food, as always, is great! I had the super-delicious portobello mushroom sandwich. My daughter loved the braised beef and my wife really liked her tofu vegetable Curry braised. Did I mention the scrumptious Mango Tart Pie? A great dining experience!

I finally stopped by this place I've been wanting to try. I was greeted as I walked in asking if I needed any help with the menu. All food is organic and made in house. You walk up to the register, place your order and they deliver it to your table. Prices are reasonable and they offer vegetarian options as well.

I ordered the grass fed steak with one side. Food came out fairly quickly and the overall service was amazing. Brinton was awesome at helping me decide what to order.

The steak was flavorful and tender. I prefer med with a little pink in the center. Although the steak seemed well done, I still thought it was tasty. I wanted to try their in house drinks but I knew I wouldn't have room for a dessert if I did. I ordered cookies but was too full to continue.

I will definitely return and try the other items on the menu.

Everything is organic and made from scratch.....for example they make their dressings from scratch not once but twice daily! Everything we tried was delicious and affordable for the value of our dollar. The staff and management very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We will be back to try new things!

It is a very interesting place with a variety of plates in the menu, very friendly employees, and welcoming atmosphere for a reasonable price. The food is also delicious, and the service is very quick! Self-service mixed with traditional restaurant service is an interesting combination, which also makes this place stand out among other restaurants. An ability to mix different types of meats and sides is also an interesting novelty. This is definitely not our last visit to this place!
