Review is for Again Cafe (never tried the Chibiscus Ramen).

To every idiot complaining about the waffles being flat- THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE. What you're expecting is a Belgian Waffle, which is considerably thicker. What you're getting is an American (or "Classic") Waffle, which is thin and crispy with smaller pockets. Understand that before you knock the place for it.

Overall, this place is okay. Flavors are overall pretty good but the physical aspects like freshness and texture are way off. For instance, the Homemade Charcoal Buttermilk Waffle (Mixed Berries & Maple Syrup) tasted great but it was a little soggy, like it needed to stay in the waffle maker just a minute or two longer.

The Homemade Charcoal Buttermilk Waffles (Poached Egg & Thick Cut Bacon) was weird to me. The strong flavor of the mustard was too much and overpowered the rest of the entree. Again, soggy waffle. That must just be the way they make it because I ordered the waffles on two different occasions and both times they were like that. The waffles are also crazy expensive, $10.00 for a single waffle. That's a lot for something that's not very filling.

I don't know why they only offer doughnuts on the weekends but that was disappointing as well. The doughnuts were lovely to look at but they were small and pricey. They're also ordered in from Donut Snob, an online doughnut delivery service, so they're probably not fresh. If they were, then they certainly didn't taste fresh. I KNOW a fresh doughnut. My family owns a doughnut shop and I worked there for five straight years. I know what day-old doughnuts taste like. The flavors were very good. My husband and I really liked them but the body of the doughnuts were stale.

Their teas and coffees are solid. Great latte art. Legit matcha, made with no sugar. Although, everything is customizable. From the food to the drinks to the decor- everything is beautifully presented, the designs are well thought out. I cannot say enough about how fantastic the service is. This is a place where you feel like if you came in a couple times, they would get to know your name. You feel so welcome and you can feel the pride they have in their business.

They have a problem with their front door. It jams and they can't seem to get it fixed. I talked to the person in charge (manager or co-owner?) and she told me that the door company has, in short, just given them the runaround, avoiding any real responsibility for fixing it properly. So that's not their fault. But that means that there's now a slight fire hazard because you only have one solidly working door in case of an emergency. I mean, I hope that second side door works okay. \=( Also, because we came pretty early in the morning, it was really cold. The door had to be propped open because it barely opening from the inside and definitely wasn't opening from the outside, so all that cold air came in, which made me pretty uncomfortable because I can't handle cold temps.

I do recommend it though. It's a nice place.

What a great little place just off the busy main strip of Old Town Pasadena
I had the spicy miso ramen and it was a solid soup base. I enjoyed the chewiness of the ramen noodles
I can't wait to try during the day when the place is a coffee cafe

Really good musubi and friendly staff. Owner's dog stops by (insta star????) which the adorable logo is modeled after. Their interior is modern yet cozy and it's neat how they transfer from coffee in mornings to full blown ramen shop. They easily accomadated our group of 8.

This place is amazing. People working here are friendly and welcoming and I love the art and decor they have it’s really cute and calming. I ordered the spicy tuna bowl and it was SO DELICIOUS! The rice is purple with different grains and I really loved that. Definitely the best spicy tuna bowl I have ever had. I’m happy that I work next door so I will definitely come back again and again to try all the other things on the menu!
