Union Restaurant

Had an awesome dinner time at Union. The Squid Ink Pasta was a good balanced dish between the fennel, lobster, and a hint of citrus zest. I highly recommend the Squid Ink, and the Octopus appetizer. The other pastas definitely needed more balance to the dish (the duck pasta tasted like a ball of mush).

Truly a wonderful dining experience!

Plan ahead if you would like to dine at this tiny rustic-style Italian restaurant. Or plan on being seated very late in the evening if you don't have a reservation. Just the fact that such a busy restaurant has no permanent sign with its name hanging outside, just a tiny chalk sandwich board, should give give you a clue that this restaurant stays busy because of its reparation and word-of-mouth referrals.
The food is unique and delicious. I had never been a huge fan of octopus, but the Charred Octopus starter had me hooked from the first bite.

We were disappointed by nothing. Bring your appetite and come. Great wines, and excellent staff who will guide you through your dining experience are a bonus.

I would recommend trying at least one item from each grouping from the menu. For sure a locally made pasta, a meat dish and some seafood. Family style so you can try a little of everything that comes to your table.

You will be cozy with your neighbors, so don't plan on exchanging sweet nothings that you would prefer no one overhears. ????
10/10 will go again.

Awesome spot for Italian food in Pasadena. Been waiting to come here for months now and it did not disappoint. Everything I order was freaking amazing and some of the best pasta dishes I have had in my life. Get there early so you can grab a piece of that wonderful porchetta, which comes in limited supply daily. The octopus was great and lots of layers of flavor, all the pastas where bomb and finally get yourself a bottle of red wine. You’ll like this spot

Excellent food. Really tiny space and not suitable for any group larger than 4. Food is really amazing. Been there 7-10 times and can’t remember any forgettable dish (and never anything we regretted ordering). Our favorite spot for any nice night out or special occasion.

Always wonderful service and exceptional food. The staff welcome you like an old friend, The atmosphere is like a cozy dinner party. It is small and compact but very comfortable. The food is always delicious. I end up leaving too full because I always want just one more bite!
