Today a small home town eatery opened up in Redondo Beach. We went with a large party so we got to try many of their menu items. Several orders of the country fried steak. Chicken teriyaki bowls, shrimp tacos, potato salad, home made macaroni and cheese and blueberry cornbread (I know I thought WTH but had to order a second piece to go????). Everything was delish. They were a little slow, I learned they only prepare the food when you order it. I guess I'm so accustomed to fast food restaurant,that sitting at the outside table to chat with family was odd. This is a take out spot primarily, we learned this after we walked in, but there are a few tables out front. They were sold out of all of the desserts by the time we arrived, so I will be going back to check those out. I got a warm friendly vibe but more than anything I felt like I had just left my mom's kitchen. Yummy. Yay for Redondo Beach. I'm going back again to try a few other things. By the way the young chef is a cutie pie and so is the other fella working back there with him.
