“There is a restaurant here called Pa Pa Walk! Sam the owner and his brother are a few of his employees. They are very nice. There is usually a line out the door. Make sure you sign in on the form hanging outside! Seating: A bit cramped, but its busy. Parking: Cramped, but there is a lot downstairs. Don't park in Hotel parking. Service: When I am there I ususally get a water pretty quickly. They might not be the best at followup but if you are enjoying your food and DESSERT then you will be fine. Food: They serve Taiwanese foods like shaved ice, boba, slush, teas, coffee, popcorn chicken, stinky tofu, leek bun, coffin bread (with cream soup inside), dumplings, chicken/pork chop rice, sausage rice, fried rice, noodles, and they just recently added hot-pot to their menu. I also like their beef noodle soup! I love their mango shaved ice when it is in season. Their fluff ice is just fabulous! ”

“It's like a make your own porridge place, you choose a base than choose the ingredients you want to add. Good place for porridge but a little too pricey, and dishes other than the porridge aren't that good.”

“Fantastic hot pot for that trendy style with the spicy butter broth. I thought their broth not only had that delicious spicy butter flavor, but had a better underlying broth flavor than at other places like Haidilao. The half & half pot is $11.98, which is cheaper than if you get a full pot of the spicy. Their shrimp paste (手打蝦滑) ($6.95) is maybe the best I've ever had. It has more fresh shrimp flavor than anywhere else I've tried. The handmade vegetable noodles (手工流彩面) ($3.95) was excellent with good toothiness. The beef aorta (牛黃喉) ($7.95) was somehow not as good as I've had at other places. I think they cut it differently, and I just didn't care much for it. The fatty beef (肥牛) ($6.95) and the cabbage ($2.95) were both fine, but I thought the portions were a bit stingy. Like the fish (龍利魚片) ($5.95).”

“Ordered the XLB , 1 regular, 1 spicy and the spicy beef wrap. The dumplings were super juicy and tasty, the spicy flavor of the spicy one was a bit overpowering for me so I recommend the regular one. Pro tip: don't look inside of the dumplings ,not pretty, just enjoy! The beef wrap was also good, nice colors and texture. Bill came to about $41 with tax and a couple sodas. Reasonably priced”

“Friendly staff and excellent food. I've been coming here for a good 10 years now. Whenever I visit Alhambra I always make a point to stop by here. Their Shanghai style rice cakes are the best as well as their dumplings and XLB!”

“4 stars - Food is great, price is fair. The menu offers some specialities. Buy three entrees get a large piece of free smoked chicken leg. Plenty of parking underground. Drawbacks (2.5 stars)- (1) the young waitress, could be the daughter of the chef, has no desire to serve at all: no eye contact, no smile; is staying away from customers. (2) There are always some smokers standing near or outside of the restaurant. The odor of the cigarette comes thru the opening entrance.”

“I've gone here so many times, and finally I'm writing a review. I like how this place welcomes all walks of life. From my people watching I noticed guests wearing plainer clothes to guests holding Fendi bags. We are all united by the love for Taiwanese breakfast and fresh soy milk. Walking in, you will wee a freezer with dumplings and more to purchase, a deli fridge with pre-packaged cold noodle and other cold dishes and freshly baked flaky buns filled with different beans or meat. Against the far wall are disposable utensils and napkins next to a rack of fresh zong zhi or bread rolls. As a vegetarian, there are definitely options that aren't listed on the menu. Basically you can substitute anything with pork song with vegetarian "pork" song (fried bits with sesame and seaweed). That includes savory items like the savory soy milk (great with a dash of chili oil), rice rolls. My go to is the rice roll which is hot and delicious with a bowl of savory soy milk. The prices have steadily climbed throughout the years but are still largely affordable!”

“Ducks here are legendary. We got the last whole duck of the night. And are we glad we did. Meaty, juicy, tasty, plum sauce, moist and flavorful. We had the choy sum and beef stew with turnip. Meaty stew, great cuts of meat. The tendons were a little tough though. Otherwise, great dinner. Go!”

“Very authentic Cantonese food. The roast duck was excellent. They had fresh lily bulbs the day we came, was excellent stir fried with celery, wood ear and home made dry cured pork belly.”
