“The gentlemen sushi chefs at this establishment are knowledgeable, well-versed in top notch sushi preparation and fun to talk to. The service, environment and food were above many other places in the San Gabriel valley. Located inside the Sheraton hotel, the dining area lacked anything specific to the sushi clique, but you should overlook that for the excellence in preparation and freshness of the food. I had the Yuki Special Roll and it did not disappoint. Subtle flavors blended and the volume of the roll was far beyond what I’ve paid twice as much for, making this not only a great place to enjoy a quiet sushi bite, but a good deal too. The sushi presentation was beautiful, appetizing and left me excited to come back to try other selections. The waitress on staff that night was gracious, engaging and fun! Don’t miss this hidden gem!”

“This is my most memorable Chinese food I tried in my 5 trips to US! It’s even better than many of the Chinese restaurants back in Singapore (where Chinese are the majority). The portion is as usual huge, similar to other eateries in US. I initially only ordered the 双拼饭, with roast duck and roast pork as the 双拼, as I was not sure how good will it be. Turns out the roast duck was really very good! The roast pork was not bad as well. With my appetite whetted, I later added a wanton soup. The wanton was quite huge and the fillings were very generous. The soup was also very tasty. Highly recommend this place.”

“Looking for authentic Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine? There’s a hidden gem in San Gabriel that’s worth trying. They have some really spicy dishes but if you’re like me and can’t handle too spicy, they have some wonderful non-spicy options. Check out their lunch specials! Andrea, Jessica and the rest of the staff are wonderful with customers! They are so welcoming and attentive, treating everyone like friends and making the customers feel at home. They have separate rooms available and are perfect for parties as well. I love the outdoor patio area! Now, let’s talk about the food…Everything was absolutely delicious!! Big portion sizes as well. It was enough to feed me and my 2 boys and still have some food to take home. The Smoked Duck was tender and succulent! The Lamb Chops were fall off the bone tender and so flavorful! Love the crispy texture of the Stir-Fried Noodles with Beef. You can get them soft or crispy. The Diced Beef Tenderloin was our favorite!! So juicy and perfectly cooked! Great balance of flavors! There’s a small parking lot so you may need to park on the street. At first I wasn’t sure if I was at the right place, but it was lol So, if you just follow the directions, you’ll find it. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back!”

“Quick and fast taco stands. Now they support the credit card payment. Eric is welcoming and serves the neighborhood very well until the midnight. The protein of stewed pork and the al pastor is nice while I hope they could use corn tortillas instead of the flour ones.”

“This place isn't bad at all. My partner and I ended up getting the single fried skewers comb and the chicken strip. We enjoyed the items we purchased. It was affordable and different. Overall everything was delicious. I recommend it for people who aren't picky and like skewers.”

“Really good Hunan food, but as all great small Chinese restaurants, tables and chairs may be greasy. Fortunately, the day I came the waiter is responsible and everything looks clean. The food is undoubtedly delicious.”

“Tasty Dipping Ramen On my 3rd day in LA, my bro brought me to Tsujita, claiming it's the best dipping ramen in the neighborhood. Since I hadn't tried dipping ramen before, and considering the winter chill, it seemed like the perfect choice. The highlight, the dipping ramen, was indeed excellent. The Chashu pork slices were big, thick, and tender, melting in your mouth, accompanied by a slice of lime and perfect temperature Ajitsuke tamako. Dipping these into the thick and flavorful bonito dashi created an amazing experience. As I followed my brother's lead, the enjoyment was real. However, after a while, I found the soup a bit salty and overly thick. My brother, seemingly noticing my expression, advised me, 'Just dip and slurp the noodle. Don't drink the soup just yet. After finishing the noodle, you can add a bit of the hot light soup to dilute the thickness, and then it's time to finish it.' Wow, what the thought I followed his procedure. However, when I finished the noodle and asked the server to add more light soup, I received only a small amount of the same salty soup from the beginning. My bro was a bit confused too, as the outcome didn't meet our expectations. Anyway, feeling quite full, we decided to call it a day. Overall, dining at Tsujita was a good experience. The food was delicious, and did I mention you should try the Chicken Karaage as well? Yes, you should! The chicken was crispy on the outside, while still moist and juicy inside. The batter wasn't too thick, allowing the chicken taste to shine through. If I could suggest improvements, I would recommend offering a hot spice alternative to the hot and spicy veggies on the table. Additionally, the busboys could improve by cleaning up tables more promptly. I noticed dirty dishes on another table for over 10 minutes. I understand they are busy, but adding more staff could enhance the dining experience."”

“The lounge is conveniently located within Hilton San Gabriel. It was spacious and comfortable. The staff were inviting, friendly and extremely efficient. They took wonderful care of us. For lunch we ordered: clam chowder, Caesar salad, beef taquitos with guacamole dip and Parma ham and mozzarella flat bread. All the dishes were perfectly seasoned and delicious. My only two suggestions would be to serve crackers with the soup and maybe change the flatbread sauce to a marinara. I had an old fashioned with my meal which I really enjoyed. The drink was well balanced. The lounge is a non tipping restaurant. It’s odd I know, at least for me it is. The tip was already added to the final bill and we paid approximately 65+”

“Can’t get it this good in many places. Think…..roasted fish hotpot. Choose the type of fish, broth, and toppings. All stewed to perfection as you eat. Tried the original flavor with Qing Jiang fish. Fish was so tender, meat was plenty, sauce was so good! Don’t sleep on the skewers too, spicy cumin-y seasoning, my go-to is always the lamb.”

“Fancy decoration so that hard to believe it's a Fast food restaurant. The foods are those coming from the name of China with style in Fast food like hamburger, fries, fried chicken. Some are hard to find in local areas like curly fries and potato waffles. The chicken is not so well done it might remind the staff to fry the terms thoroughly .”

“This place is hard to see while driving on road. I followed the Google map. Its located next to building residence area. Few parking on front and sign for additional parking. I went there around a little past 8 pm after work. Place is very clean with seating indoors and outdoors. Waiter asked small or big table. Since I am alone I sat on table for 2. I did not really look at the menu because I went there for 1 dish is Gamjatang (spicy pork neck bone soup). I can't take spicy must so I also ordered cucumber salad that help a cool down the spicy in mouth. Check in yelp and gets free can of soda. Gamjatang: 2 bones and 1 potato - less spicy than I thought would be. Broth taste a little blend compared to places I had been to. Meats is not soft enough that fall off the bone. I was a little disappointed. Also, come with white rice. I am not sure if have purple rice because I was to hungry and forgot to ask. Cucumber salad is not enough flavor (blend). I couldn't taste garlic even cover with a lot of garlic. Side dishes is okay. No one came back to ask if I need refill but they would pick it up empty plates. maybe there is no free refill on side dished.”

“My son went to his classmate's 5th birthday party here. It's a very good place to host a kid's birthday. The parents all chatted while the kids played. A few of the parents went over to play with the kids in the play area. There is a lot to keep the kids entertained: dresses to play dress up, toys galore, an indoor playground, imaginary professional supplies so the kids can pretend to be doctors and veterinarians. Everyone had a great time.”

“Tasty House authentic Taiwanese cuisine the best that I've ever eaten. Second time eating here and it's been great so far. As always I ordered the West Lake style beef soup, and the smoked tea duck and crispy soybean sea bass fillet and this one is so good, and House special fried rice was also good. This place is a little pricey but you get every Penny's worth. I think this is one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and I live an hour and a half from this restaurant, it's worth driving for that's how good it is. So if you haven't tried eating here yet I suggest you try it I know you'll love it. It's become one of my favorite restaurants in the area.”

“Wonderful new sushi joint that just opened in San Gabriel. Rolls are very affordable (probably the best prices nowadays) and they have a good selection of appetizers and fusion rolls. Parking can be tough sometimes since it's in the same plaza as Wells Fargo and CVS, but shouldn't have any issue during non-peak hours.”

“Sat outside with a friend in the beautiful patio. Nice sunny weather but, a bit of wind. Enjoy a wonderful meal outdoors if you can. Have them wipe the table clean before laying your things down. Went with their Spicy Salted Fish, Honey Walnut Shrimp & Dumplings. Some Lemon Iced Tea. Theirs is pretty good. Our Server was excellent UNTIL WE GOT OUR FOOD then, he went Missing In Action like Chuck Norris. 🤷 I wanted to leave 50% for the excellent meal and ambiance of their patio but, he was nowhere to be seen when we needed to be tended to so, he got $7 bucks. Restrooms are immaculate. Plenty of Parking in Lot. I will come back again. I just hope our next Server is Tentative to Our Party next time.”

“Glad i took this recommendation. They have parking. Taro slush was better than other taro bobas ive had. Taro was sweet not too much and boba texture was good too. I like that this place has spicy levels for the calamari (mild, medium, hot and real hot) i got the medium and the calamari were good they had just the right amount of seasoning and i also tried some of my friend’s green beans mmm also good theyre both like snack portions though so youd have to eat a lot of them if you want to get a meals worth. Anyway, cute seating inside and outside, not a lot of seats but cute place to c h i l l ✨ definitely recommend for a quick snack or boba”

“Newly opened dim sum to-go restaurant that took over the Vietnamese to-go fast food place. They do have decent dim sum items with reasonable prices. For a fast dim sum fix without waiting for a table, this is the place to pick up some of your favorite dim sums including, sesame balls, har gaw, Siu mai, egg rolls, glutinous rice in lotus leaf wraps and more. Most of them are under $5. The dim sums tend to be sold out early. They are still in soft opening mode. Maybe they have not worked out their work flows yet. They are trying provide good service but seemed to be disorganized. I guess we just have to give time to work out the kinks. There are few tables with chairs for people to eat their dim sum but it’s self service as this outlet is meant for take outs.”

“Hands down my new favorite restaurant! We ordered the sour spicy lemon chicken, honey walnut shrimp, old style wrapped pork, and beef chow mein. Everything was so fresh, so flavorful and delicious!! I can’t compliment this restaurant enough! It’s AMAZING! On top of the incredible food, the staff is so friendly, fast paced and very welcoming. Thank you so much for such a great experience!”

“Have you ever been to a restaurant and your first bite of the food reminds you of your happy childhood? Embassy Kitchen’s food invoked pleasant memories of my early years. Yummy food with local canton specialty is what this restaurant offers. Their dim sums are very unique with every dish done well. Their flavor adheres to authentic local Cantonese cooking. Like the turnip cake, the chunky turnips elevates the flavor of this dim sum to reflect the original taste from Canton. This is how I remember the taste of this dish when I was a child. I particularly enjoyed the pan fried flat rice noodle with Chinese sausage and broccoli. Not too many restaurants cook this dish with these ingredients nowadays. But I prefer to have the sweet onion instead of the Chinese broccoli with this dish. The prices are still reasonable. At around $4 a dish, it’s less than most dim sum places in the SGV. In addition to dim sum, Embassy Kitchen offers lunch special dishes with rice starting at $10.99 during lunch time. Dim sum starts at 8 am in the morning. So for people who want to have dim sum for breakfast to start the day, this is your place. Service is excellent here. Even though they only have about 3 waiters, they are very attentive and visit each table very frequently. There is a big parking lot that shares the parking spots with Tasty Choice restaurant next door.”
