Del Frisco's Grille

I know it is a higher end place, but when I order crabcakes for an appetizer that on the menu says, 'made to share' and one smaller-sized one shows up on the plate, is it really? The entrees were pretty decent. Wait time for food was almost an hour. Server was very nice though. Being in the industry, I know it is not her fault. I suggest taking the, 'made to share' off the menu to not mislead people.

What a great place to eat dinner and watch the sunset! The food is good, and there is a wide variety. This is one of the first places I stopped at when I started working in Santa Monica, and it is still near the top of my list. I also like to bring family and friends here.

An interesting experience... my friend inquired about the B rating in the window and then had a very frank discussion with the manager. He was honest about the circumstances and we had an interesting discussion about the nuances of regulatory entities. The manager was friendly, intelligent, and made us feel welcome. We sat outside on the patio to have wine and people watch. They have a nice wine list, and although the server was unable to locate my first pick, she continued to search until she found an acceptable substitute. We enjoyed several appetizers that were very good. The busboy was quite attentive, noting right away when plates were empty, and asking if they could be removed. The server started out really well, but later disappeared. The location was great, just off the Santa Monica Pier, so there were plenty of people passing by, but it wasn’t too disruptive.
