Jimmy's Famous American Tavern

Had Jimmy's Flight Beer Sampler and the short ribs dinner. The pork n' beans were to die for and the ribs were amazing! I liked every beer sample an the platter. I'm not a dark beer lover but there's was delicious! Really good pricing and quantity of food too! Went on a Sunday early evening, it wasnt crowded. Very clean and staff was very pleasant/professional. I dont live in Santa Monica, stopped by after visiting the Getty villas, but if I'm ever in the area again I'm definitely stopping again!

I had the impossible burger. It does not taste properly. I wanted to taste good so bad but it felt flat. The salat was very good and the waitress I had was amazing. 5 star for her alone!

Great service with BIG portion plates. Come with a good appetite and you definitely won't be disappointed. The fried chicken was so good, I think I'll be dreaming of that dish for a long long while. Very cosy atmosphere and chill vibes makes for a great place to eat!

This restaurant was amazing in all aspects. The food was very well priced for being such a nice restaurant and the food tasted great. The food was well seasoned and the portions were good especially before a day of exploring the pier. They had a variety of alcoholic beverages including bottomless champagne and beers on tap. The servers were very active in observing if you need a refill on drinks or anything else but they don't bother you all the time asking if you need everything, which was nice. The decor was very modern and not overbearing the design of the booth seating was interesting because the glass walls were almost floating with gaps at the top where sunlight and a breeze can come through. The restroom facilities were clean and had a very nice design to everything. Nothing to complain about here.

I work in this area and also come down here on weekends just for fun, and had somehow missed this place for years. Had some people in town who wanted to do dinner and cocktails in the area, so after cruising Yelp for a recommendation I settled on Jimmy's. Made a reservation on Yelp, and SO glad I did! We came in on a Wednesday night. Very few people there, so we got a great table. Service was friendly and prompt, and the food was quite tasty as well. Our party of five had a wide variety of dishes and drinks, and I didn't hear a single complaint about any of it. My girflriend and I shared the buttermilk fried chicken plate with gravy and mashed potatoes (SUPER tasty) and the spicy California burger (very good, but not as spicy as they make it sound on the menu). Others had the roasted chicken, the Jimmy burger, and the Nashville fried chicken sandwich, and rave reviews were had all around. Tasty cocktails too--try the blackberry (or blueberry? can't recall ... ) bourbon lemonade--BOMB! I'll be back for sure!
