“My husband and I have a very pleasant dining experience here. It is very child friendly, the host/owner made sure we are seated at a table that wouldn't be hard for our toddler. We are also surprised to be seated right next to G. Bailey (known as Provenza in TNT drama The Closer and Major Crimes). The staff is courteous and efficient, the place is unique! I had the pork chop with sweet potatoes, plantains, fried okra in ginger sauce ---excellent! The only problem they have is the parking so make sure you arrive before it becomes so busy.”

“The food here is definitely one of my favorites. My wife loves the roasted chicken salad with maple bacon and I usually get the short rib or chicken sandwich. The flavor from either sandwich is on point and their bread is the perfect blend of soft and moist with a nice slightly crunchy crust. I will get the cookies from time to time and they never disappoint. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and made with care and it shows in how good this place is”

I don't recommend calling in an order. Original review: I live in the area and consider this the best local pizza joint. While you can buy pies, they have a number of different pizzas available by the slice, which is what every classic pizza joint should offer. They also offer healthy salads and other healthy options (though if that's what you're looking for you should hit up Bristol Farms nearby). They have a good selection of beers, which is a bonus. Don't change a thing, Tomato Pie.”

“My first thought was, "wow, this place is cozy..." It's a beautiful spot to be sure, but it's also comfortable. The food is great for South Pasadena, but only acceptable for LA. What sets this place apart is the beer on draft. The selection is on par with the hippest places in LA. It's a real oasis in Pasadena. The place expresses an air of luxury without any pretentious attitude. So why did I not give it a 5 ???? rating. Well, it's the loneliness that comes from not having a happy hour or any special pricing that makes drinking here sustainable. Also the barkeep is not your friend. When you're drinking a fancy beer, it's incumbent on the bar tender to help you with the experience. This place offers a great selection of beer on tap, but one needs a guide. Food is decent, but the service needs some work. I'll be back, so get your ducks in row please. I want this place to succeed...”
