Ordered a BLT with garlic fries and my husband ordered the shrimp scampi. Food was excellent, great flavor, perfect portion size. We went between lunch and dinner after a softball game, so we had the place to ourselves. Quiet, warm atmosphere. We talked to the owner for a few minutes. Very friendly and great customer service! A gem of an eatery in San Rafael! Would visit again for sure!

The owner was very friendly. The food was delicious and they are known for their buttermilk fried chicken so get that. Everything is excellent. And then just sit and enjoy yourself in a place free of drama and full of great guest service. Listen instead of talk and they may reveal some secrets of downtown San Rafael. Tip generously and don’t be unkind and you will thoroughly enjoy yourself. And if you sit at the bar, there are coat and purse hooks underneath the bar because all of the classiest places have hooks under the bar. Thank you Red Rooster for the great conversation and excellent food.

Love this corner spot. The owner makes you feel welcome and serves some nice dishes. I have had their pasta, pizzas and fried chicken. One of my fav’s in the area.

The food is delicious and the staff is wonderful. I had the Caprese, Cherry Tomatoes Pasta, and S'mores Pizza.

I sadly ate the Caprese so fast that I forgot to take pictures. It was fresh, delicate, and delicious. The Cherry Tomatoes Pasta was similar. Light, not too salty but still flavorful. The sauce goes wonderfully with the garlic bread. Lastly the S'mores Pizza was mind blowing. Semi sweet and dark chocolate makes it delicious without being too sweet. Great triple pairing!

My boyfriend and I recently visited this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed with their delicious food and friendly service. I ordered the house clam chowder and my boyfriend ordered the chicken pesto sandwich with garlic fries, and I have to say that it was one of the best meals I've had in a while.

The chicken pesto sandwich was perfectly toasted, and the pesto was packed with flavor, complementing the juicy chicken perfectly. The garlic fries were crispy and flavorful, and they were the perfect side to the sandwich. The portion size was generous, and I appreciated the fact that everything was made fresh to order.

The clam chowder was creamy and savory, with chunks of tender clams and potatoes in every bite. It was the perfect comfort food.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff who made me feel at home. The service was prompt and attentive, and the food arrived quickly and was hot and fresh.
