Very nice and quiet place. The rooms are basic but with everything you need to spend a great night. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our cottage was by the river and in the morning we could it the water nearby. Very relaxing. The kids enjoyed the large outdoor spaces and had a lot of fun with the corn hole. They provided each cottage with fish food so that the kids can feed the trout they grow to repopulate the river. Great place!!!
Overall our experience was good. There is a small creek here with good fishing and a nice place to stay cool. Food in the restaurant uphill of the cabins and motel. The trail leads to some good holes in the stream. The cabins are very nice and relaxing. I would suggest to management they fix their pullout couch bed or replace them altogether with something more comfortable. We plan on staying here year after year and would love to give positive reviews all across the board. The no fish in cabin fridge is a minor inconvenience also because our fish was big it made for worry someone may walk off with it in outside fridge near building. Could be easily solved with offering styrofoam icechest(for fair price) and ice maker or ice machine outside. Other than those minor things which maybe major to someone else. I can't find a single thing I dislike about Virginia creek settlement.
I love staying at this place. It’s great. I usually stay in what is called tent cabins. The beds are a little hard. But room overlook is great. They now offer free showers to the campground area now. Fishing right in camp was great too.
