Loved absolutely every single bite of everything we had from the sliders and chicken empanadas to the salad and last but not least, the amazing entrees. “Went in July, not during ski season. So it was much quieter than it would be in winter. Friendly, fast service. Food was good, but a bit on the expensive side (it's at the base of a ski resort, so not unexpected). Known for their giant pretzel, which was is, in fact very large. It is yummy and filling and is enough of an appetizer for at least 4 people. They do have a kids menu, but you have to ask.”

“We were happy to see this new restaurant in June Lake. It’s such a small town it’s nice to have a new one. It’s a Mexican restaurant and thought the food was good. I believe the name is different than what’s listed? They will be doing more renovations in the near future. They will be opening up the back of the restaurant, adding an outdoor patio that will show a great view.”

I got the spicy "beef" burrito and I'm far from vegetarian, but I don't understand the recent trash reviews strictly for changing their menu to plant based (and fish). I love meat, but I honestly didn't know my burrito wasn't actual beef until I saw some of these reviews. The spice and flavor was amazing. I guess calling it "beef" if it's not meat may be a little misleading, but that's about my only knock against this place. Great food and service.”

“After waiting for a short but seeming long time at the host desk with no one in front of us. We were finally greeted by the bar tender/host/waiter. After we were seated I looked at reviews and thought “maybe we chose the wrong place”. Things started a bit slow but after we placed our order everything seemed to pick up pace slightly. Overall the waiter was very friendly, yet quiet. Our food was good and it hit the spot after 15 hours since our last meal. The place was incredible and very clean. You couldn’t ask for a nicer atmosphere.”

The amount of fries and the size of the burger are both large, more like a sit down pace rather than quick take out. “Best food in town with huge portions, great service, and delicious food! This place fed us while we stayed at the Lake View Lodge next door. Pro tip is if you stay there you get 10% off at the basin cafe. My favorite thing here was the breakfast burrito which I didn’t get to take a picture of because I inhaled it! It was thick, cheesy, and delicious. Perfect for filling you up before a long day of hiking in the area. The service is also spectacular here where they were very accommodating to my partners food allergies. You can also order from the toast app for easier take out orders. Although it’s better to order on the phone or in person as there were some mistakes when I used the app. I recommend this place whole heartedly!”

We shared a BBQ combination for 2 and it was more than enough food. Everything tasted good and was cooked to the right tenderness. Fries were crispy and overall great. “Very nice and quiet place. The rooms are basic but with everything you need to spend a great night. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our cottage was by the river and in the morning we could it the water nearby. Very relaxing. The kids enjoyed the large outdoor spaces and had a lot of fun with the corn hole. They provided each cottage with fish food so that the kids can feed the trout they grow to repopulate the river. Great place!!!”
