I was in Carmel on a Sunday evening towards the end of summer when you would expect the town center to be fairly busy. Sure enough, it was. The streets were quite crowded. However, I don't know exactly why, but 400° was extremely slow when I went. Had the feel of a restaurant doomed to go out of business, as there was only one other party at the restaurant when I walked in. Maybe it was the fact that it's located away from the main street in sort of a hidden corner? Anyways, we were immediately sat down and given the menu. The ordering process went smoothly and the waiter did his best to answer my questions. The food was reasonably priced considering it was only about 12 dollars for a Wagyu burger or a Bison burger. Sure, I was a little bit skeptical about a Wagyu burger being so inexpensive, but I decided I'd give it a chance anyways. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The party was perfectly cooked to my medium rare request, and the meat was so tender and juicy. This along with the other ingredients all complemented each other nicely in this burger. On top of that, the fries were pretty great too! Overall, I would say it was definitely worth the price. As far as I'm concerned, the lack of other customers was nothing but good for me on my visit, as I was served promptly and my food made with greater attention. I just hope that this is not indicative of this business being run down. It would be a great shame to lose this burger joint.

It you've ever come to Carmel and want an experience that has fun, great yummy food, super shakes and onion rings to die for, THIS IS YOUR PLACE! Our fav little French eatery changed locations and was acting all uppity, so we went to a nice welcoming atmosphere and enjoyed the food so much more!

The wait staff was so nice, and so personal we found out how much we had in common! Thanks Adrian! We thought he was the owner, he care so much for the customers. Superb service! We came back 2 more times in our 4 day stay.

You will not regret coming here.
Inside and outside dinning. Perfectionist in the grill area! And fabulous wait staff, everything was off the chain.

They make this house sauce they use on their burgers, and we requested it as a dip for everything. They accommodate non dairy needs graciously. Food always hot. Always fresh. Superb portions. Best onion rings in Cali.
    Eat here!!!!!

My friends and I agreed that the food here was really okay. Like on the good side of okay, but it definitely didn't live up to what it seemed like it should have. This place couldn't seem to decide if it's a classic casual burger joint or a "gourmet" burger restaurant. This was reflected by both the interior design (kind of a weird mash of some modern here and some classic diner there) and the waitstaff who didn't seem like they cared too much about the food they were serving us. It was all a little weird. Its not a bad place for a quick bite, but don't be expecting anything that will blow your mind.

10 out of 10! The food was exquisite. I had a veggie burger with garlic fries, mixed green side salad and beer battered onion rings. Everything was freshly made and delicious, and the burger was the perfect temperature.

The service was first class! My lead server was Jade, and I was also helped by Adrian when Jade was busy with other customers. They gave everyone the VIP treatment and worked perfectly as a team.

The place has a funky diner look and is spotlessly clean. Hands down, the best dining experience I had in Carmel!

Wow!! The whole experience is incredible. The bison and wagyu burgers are the best burgers I have ever tasted. They went out of their way for my wife's veggie burger, which they make themselves, which tasted great. The staff was fantastic. The milkshakes are crazy good, needing a special extra wide straw, which is biodegradable. We had one guest that was 45 minutes late, no problem for the staff. And the fries, onion rings, and house cut chips we're on par with the rest. Try it, you'll love it!
