One of thee best restaurants I've been to in awhile. We will definitely be returning with friends. So glad we are locals!
What a delightful experience we had. Gem indeed! Grilled artichokes were amazing on their own, but the black garlic aioli lifts them to superb. We sampled several dishes and all were delicious. If you like cheesecake, do not pass on it here! The service staff were genuine and skilled and the atmosphere is charming.
This is a new restaurant in Carmel, and my god, the food is outstanding. Michelin food quality. The oysters were perfectly shucked, with quality sourcing and the freshest taste we’ve had in awhile. The salmon puff pastry was unique and delicious.
The steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare, retained all of the fat and juice yet was crusted better than a backyard BBQ grill.
The patio is gorgeous (and dog friendly) with a European vibe that is also quintessential Carmel.
Lastly, the service is immensely professional and personable, even on the busiest weekend (July 3rd). Our server, Amir, beats out many servers we’ve had across Chicago and San Francisco restaurants.
Thank you for a great date night, Village Gem.
Everything we tasted was delicious. Yhe chicken was tender, nice grilled artichokes, beet salad and not-too-sweet basque cheesecake.
Friendly staff, nice outdoor area.
I just had lunch at the Village Gem restaurant in Carmel and it really is a gem
The restaurant itself is delightful, the service but especially Amir is fantastic and the food is out of this world. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Don’t waste any time going there.
