seafood, yeah, very delicious. Nothing but enjoyable experiences here. The place has a nice atmosphere. Menu is like a place in San Francisco I liked.
I am a Bay Area native and decided to have a mother daughter night with my 16 year old on cannery row . I am vegan and she is not. Our waitress was absolutely AMAZING . She knew what had milk fat in it, what was cooked in the same grease as the shrimp and what had chicken stock in it. She basically had a talk with the kitchen and they made me steamed asparagus , raw veggies, steamed veggies, mango sticky rice and bell pepper hummus (there other hummus had milk fat) . All vegan all delicious .
Considering people are more conscious of the environment, their health and the sentience of animals than ever, Id think there were more options (like the impossible burger!) for non meat and dairy consuming patrons. Still, $130 bucks out the door I will as so thrilled with the service, I’d come back. And hopefully the menu will be more veg friendly.
We went here for a birthday dinner, and everything was fantastic. I had the herb crusted salmon and my boyfriend had the swordfish, we split a side of asparagus. Everything was perfectly portioned, cooked, and seasoned. The wine list was a bit expensive, but they did offer a large variety and some more affordable pours. For my birthday, they gave me some dessert without making a huge fanfare of it, so I definitely appreciated that. Our waiter was also incredibly polite and thoughtful.
If we're ever in the area, I would definitely consider stopping by again!
I didn't like the fact that I had to wait in the lobby when it wasn't busy and no host available. Someone finally noticed us and we got seated. We had an ocean view table although it was night time and we couldn't enjoy the nice view. The salmon that I ordered was good. This was the only restaurant that was open past 9pm so it would be a good spot if there's nothing else opened.
Overall, I like the chart house. The food is pretty consistent, and the views are wonderful. I had a rough start at this location. Granted I showed up about 45 min before closing, but waiting 7 min at the front desk for anyone to acknowledge me. Then the manager on duty asked if I needed help, and asked if I had reservations. Granted, the restaurant was empty... So why would I even need reservations. The manager went off to "find a table" and then two hosts came up to the front desk chatting away. They also asked if I needed help or had reservations. At this point, understanding they wanted to validate their system, it still begin to feel like they were all being bothered by me coming to the restaurant so late. Once they sat me at a table, the service was fine, the food was good, and I ate without any other issues. Again, the Chart House is good, just be sure to have reservations ;)
