The calamari was okay and they didn't honor a coupon for a free starter because we were not sitting in, during a time when dine in is not allowed or discouraged....beyond that bit of bad... The clam chowder bread bowl was AMAZING!! The sour dough bread was perfect the chowder some of the best ever! The staff was nice and quick in getting us taken care of and out the door.

Amazing experience. Great and quick service with an an attentive server. Great view, great food, and the Scales Pineapple drink had plenty of alcohol to make your money's worth. Would definitely recommend as the price and experience is completely worth it!

As I’m currently sitting here enjoying my grilled seafood combination all I can say is SCALES IS THE BEST. Their service is unmatched on the wharf. They are so attentive and kind. Their food is amazing! So much flavor and detail. I come every time I am in monterey and I am never ever disappointed. Also they have a large wine variety. If I could give 10 stars I would.

This was my second visit of Scales Seafood & Steaks and my family loved their food with reasonable price and the portion so much. The decor is clean and bright with plenty of seats.

The staff was attentive and passionate to give you a small cup of clam chowder to taste. Tourists can get a free appetizer as same promotion as other stores at Fisherman’s wharf.

Their food was not the best but decent. Our favorites were their fried calamari (the free appetizer we had) and grilled fish. The grilled fish was fresh and cooked well.
