“El Canaston is tucked away at the side entrance of the food court in the mall and we didn’t have high expectations since it’s a mall food court restaurant. This place turned out to be such a pleasant surprise! The Turkish-Mexican fusion was so amazing! And the Turkish and Mexican employees were very sweet! We’re Latinos and weren’t sure how the food would taste but my goodness we were blown away. My Mexican wife (El Paso native) took a mental trip back to her hometown as she bit into the Chicharron Burrito. I was skeptical so I tried it and sure enough, it was bomb! I had the Huarache with Tinga (chicken) and was quite content. It was my first time having Nopal and now I will forever compare this experience with any other. My wife, who’s eaten it plenty of times before, also said it was really good. We recommend both plates! The desserts perfectly completed the Turkish-Mexican cuisine fusion experience! If y’all are looking are looking for great food and awesome employees, check this place out!”

“We ordered lunch for 10 and was amazed at how quickly they were able to prepare our lunch within an hour of us ordering their food. The staff was helpful and attentive. The food by the way was amazing!!! We ordered a tray of their chicken fajitas that comes with rice, beans and homemade corn tortillas. Every bite was delicious. We can't wait to re-order again. Highly recommended!”

“Mezcalito is delish!!! I’ve gone several times with family and friends. First thing, the food has SAZÓN, I’ve tried everything shrimp, tacos de Birria, and Fajitas. The portions are good and decently priced. The Salsas are a must try! The drinks are Fabulous! They taste as good as they look! We like the service, everyone is friendly!”

“My husband and I went last night and not only did they look amazing, but they were easily the best hot dogs I've ever had. He got the glizzy gobbler and I got the cheesy glizzy. Very messy but way worth it. Also the fries were crazy good, especially with their house sauce. Will absolutely go back. Only thing I wish they had are some milkshakes to go with it!”

“This is one of my favorite places to stop by for a nice breakfast bagel. I always get the Monterey Bagel with extra bacon and Thai ice tea not blended. Monterey Bagel comes with avocado, bacon, eggs with mushroom and alfalfa sprouts. So YUMMY! They have all sorts of bagels cinnamon, blueberry, sesame seed, cheese, Strawberry and much much more! Staff is very friendly and remembers their regular favorite orders! Their bagel hot dog seems pretty popular too even though I've never had it, I hear a lot of people ordering it. They also have great drinks, smoothies, coffee and Boba drinks too! They also just remodeled their facility and there's outdoor seating too. Enjoy!!”

“First, I’m so surprised at the previous reviews for this location. Me and my family had a great experience at this N. Davis location on 12/3/22. This was our first time visiting this location (as we live right next to the Constitution Blvd. location) and when our lunch was finished, we left literally saying that we would never go back to the Constitution Blvd location after how great the staff and service was for the N Davis location. Everything we experienced there, from the welcoming staff, to all the staffs friendliness to how fast our order was ready, just really impressed us. We have honestly never had a pleasant experience at the location on Constitution Blvd., so this was a pleasant experience worth reviewing. I hope others experience the same treatment my family had.”

“Ordered food online. Many options. I got the spicy large bowl and my bf got the made spicy bowl cause he loves extra spicy. Food was so tasty and full of flavor! Didn't eat all had left overs for lunch next day and it tasted even better. It is pricey just for our bowls and no sides or drinks with tax and tip almost $40. But it beat cooking on a long day that ended with car problems 🥴😆😉. We will Def be back for more!”

“These definitely have to be in the top 3 vegetarian tacos that I've ever had in the hundreds of veggie tacos that I've consumed over the years. I highly recommend this spot for veggie options. They also had 3 sour beers on tap, one of which was brewed in house! Accompanied by live music, it was a very enjoyable afternoon to stop in and relax.”

“Alas, in the blink of an eye it’s finally open! Alvarado Street Brewery: the radical fun loving and well championed brew producers in the world of beer today, is back, and now wearing a fur coat and a string of pearls. Entering Alvarado on Main you are greeted by a host station adorned with mesmerizing green tile facade. Your first thought is we are no longer at Kings Den, Todo. Three questions: Do you have a reservation? How many in your party? Bar or Booth? Across a chevron patterned wooden floor are green velvet lined booths and comfy chairs that flanks the circular bar area. You are handed two menus, one premium-grade textured thick stock Lunch menu or depending on time of day, a Dinner menu. The other is the double sided beer menu on basic office paper white because that menu changes nearly daily. But let’s take a moment to chat about the food menu for a second: a couple of starters, couple of tacos, wings, some salads, a few pizzas and a few burgers and sandwiches. To be honest it feels like a training wheels menu, but each menu item has an elevated twist. The taco’s pork are braised in Alvarado Street’s very own Monterey Beer. The cupped pepperoni pizza is drizzled with hot honey. The wings feature fifteen spices that might make you cough if you dare inhale while taking bites. All items have a tantalize hook that’s set them a shelf above. Currently the menu does accommodate with vegan, vegetarian and gluten options, a modern necessity. I’m sure the menu will develop into more challenging dishes but for now, it’s razzle-dazzle with the basics. The service is formal, warm and well versed. The servers are happy to talk beer and steer you towards the new and popular. Which is quite welcoming because every day folk need the guidance. There’s a brew for near every occasion, every palet, every craving and pairing, a hard days work reward, the weather, a sweet and sour tooth, an afternoon treat. Alvarado Street has got you covered. Sitting comfortably and taking in the ambiance you can’t help but to appreciate a few things that make Alvarado On Main magical. Acoustics are softer compared to their Monterey location. Art deco style is oozing with elegance. Local artist Lisa Haas was brought in to paint and texture walls and ceilings with period correct charm and design accents. On the way towards the restroom you will find the old bank vault door proudly mounted at the service pass. The tail end of the room, the most glamorous mother of pearl crane panel you could feast your eyes on, trés chic! You forget that you are sitting at a modern day brewhouse, instead it feels like you have been whisked away into a bustling hotel lobby bar in the roaring 20’s. While there is still construction dust still lingering around the nooks & crannies of the place, I’m sure it will settle into a cherished main stay on an evolving Main Street. I’m imagining this place is going to be an absolute riot during New Year’s parties. I will be booking my next few lunch dates here soon, highly recommend you make them on Open Table for smooth entries.”

“I recalled this location as the old Penny Farthing. We decided to check it out. Normal beers on tap, ice cold and tasty. My wife tried the tri tip sandwich and I had the carnitas tacos. Both portions were very generous. Loved the bright open feel of the place with still a pub type vibe. Staff was very friendly. We were in at noon and it wasn't busy at all. Definitely worth a try.”

“First time here since these new owners took over. It was always closed so naturally when i saw the open sign i darted in. Only now it's a Mexican seafood restaurant with the classic Mexican food plates like Carne Asada, Pollo and Carnitas, I had the carnitas plate and it was so tasty the beans the rice and the meat absolutely "no salt needed at all" I really enjoyed my lunch.”

“When it comes to the quality of their sandwich it is a far cry from other sandwich shops. The food handling is unsanitary. They cut the bread on an unlined counter - bread touching bare counter with crumbs and not being wiped after while placing sliced meat on the bread. I took a picture.”
