La Prima

Fantastic Employees that are friendly, welcoming & great service. Sadly the food is lack luster. We ordered a pizza which had so little sauce and cheese it was like a dry bread stick and the pepperoni & salami were few. The house garden salad would have been wonderful except all the bitter white pieces of iceburg lettuce (stick to the green leaf that was mixed in!!)
To end on an up note; the draft beer was cold and the ice tea was fresh with good flavor.

Love this place. It's one of the only casual places to eat in Calistoga. They have pizza to burgers and sandwiches. Self serve soda fountain and outdoor eating patio. Fireplace indoors. Call in orders. Some of the indoor tables could use some updating but other than that if you don't want to spend a fortune at downtown eateries this is a good alturnative. Nice & helpful staff. They have a bar but we've never used it. Give La Prima a try.

Good food but bit of an odd restaurant. It has the look and feel of a sit down pizza place but you order at a counter and pay in advance before you have a seat. This also means you have to place another order and get a new ticket if you want another drink. We were able to sit and watch sports on the tv and the staff was helpful. The pizza and calamari were both very good. Seems popular for takeout pizza.
