Taste of Nashville in SoCal.
Nashville Hot Chicken has been spreading around the country the last few years so just about everywhere has their own take on it. Baba's is a solid offering and they do an excellent job of capturing the crisp skin coated with spices while keeping the chicken tender and moist. Lots of other places tend to dry out their chickens overcooking it, but Baba's hits the sweet spot.
The menu consists of chicken tenders. Either as a basket, or on a sandwich, and sides include mac and cheese, grilled cheese, fries, etc.
The chicken can be ordered at various heat levels. The seasoning has a hint of sweetness which is true across mild through hot. I did not try the extreme this time. The hot was decently spicy but certainly not a killer.
Chicken Sandwiches are great! The price is just right, meals are big. They have 4 different spices. I had the hot spice with fried pickles and cannot complain. Would definitely come back here.
This one of the most amazing places to get a chicken sandwich with amazing toppings, Mac and cheese, and tiers of spices from. Mild, mediums, hot, and extreme. Believe me. I love super hot but extreme is no a for me. You love hot? Do hot my personal recommendation. On top of it all. Clean and simple menu.
Great portions and the fries are seasoned well. Just make sure that the spice level you order is truly what you're at. The medium is mild and the hot was actually pretty spicy. Guy workin the register was nice and talkative in a non-force kinda way.
This chicken sandwich and fries were awesome here. I got it non-spicy, very flavorful and not dry. Deep fried pickles were salty but you know what you’re getting into. Still dank. 🔥
