This business is only 2 months in and still working through the kinks. The food menu is well designed with nice variety and interesting options. They stated they they are still tweaking the menu. The staff was super friendly, but not particularly knowledgeable of the food or wine. They always tried to find the answers, but did not seem prepared. Typically, a wait staff will review/taste the menu before starting a shift so they know how to speak to the different items. They aren’t there yet, but I hope they keep working on it. The portions are very small and the prices are quite high. The wine selection is decent, but lacks some variety. Again, the staff struggled to speak with to the wine menu with any knowledge, but really tried and were very kind. I’m hopeful that they will work hard on continuing to improve as I would like to see them succeed. In the meantime, Main St. Wine Company around the corner is dialed in on great wine options with an excellent Sommelier running the show. I’ll return soon to see how they are progressing here.
The staff and the food is amazing. Great wine selection with a full bar. Refreshing business for Huntington Beach.
Went opening weekend and the food and drinks we’re phenomenal.
Tried a good variety of food - the halibut was perfectly cooked and the croquettes had a great scallion sauce!
Drink were made better than most places I’ve been to. Did not get wine but they do have a comprehensive list of varieties and prices.
Overall, I loved Brightwaters for dinner and am dying to try the lunch menu - looks so good!
I know it’s new but there are a few things that I’d recommend working on. I’ve been here for drinks in the evening and brunch on Sunday so far. I’d come back but likely only for drinks.
Had brunch with my partner and the two meals came out about 10 minutes apart. I was finished before the other meal arrived.
Eggs Benedict only included a single egg for $22. It’s always 2 eggs. Kinda disappointing.
A little on the pricier side by a few dollars. I’ve eaten at every HB restaurant many times over and these prices are at the top of them all.
Great atmosphere, especially outside. Service was to be expected for only being open a day and a half so far.
Hoping for good things from this place.
Love this place! Will definitely make this my go-to spot in the Huntington Beach downtown area. The wine selection is great, food is delicious, and the atmosphere is refreshing and fun. Highly recommend!
