Very friendly staff. I’ve only ordered the Gyro Salad. While they give you a more than an ample amount of Gyro meat on a fairly large bed of lettuce, the Greek Olives are sliced small and there are just a few ... as though merely a garnish on top. And Feta cheese? Very scantly sprinkled atop the salad, grated so finely it looks like a mere dusting of snow on the salad.
I guess I favor a salad that screams Greek to me, but in this case, that which makes it uniquely Greek is severely lacking. The oil & herb dressing for the salad was pretty good, but the tzatziki sauce for the Gyros was very watery and bland. The Gyro meat itself was the best part of the salad!!
I’ve eaten the top off the salad, but will make it another meal or two after I go to the market to get some real Feta Cheese. I already have Greek olives. The Gyro meat is good (and plentiful!) but deserves a good tzatziki sauce so I’ll get some Greek Yogurt, cucumbers, and fresh dill to add to ingredients I already have on hand.
My coworker was meeting a few friends and I tagged along for the fun. I have always passed by this area, but didn't realize such a place was here! However, these hole in the walls always exceed expectations and I was so glad to have tried it out!
We came through for lunch right before the rush hour arrived and we found a table no problem. The shop is super tiny, but this mom and pop establishment was really efficient and pumped out orders really quick. I had ordered a chicken shawarma wrap with what my coworker claimed as the "best ever, you're gonna die of garlic breath" garlic paste.
No pictures to show here, but I inhaled the wrap due to hunger. It was absolutely amazing and I thought to myself, I could legitimately come here everyday if I lived/worked closer! And yeah, the garlic paste is absolute must if you enjoy garlic! Apologies for the excessive exclamations, but it's so necessary because I loved it, haha.
I'll be back again eventually. Hopefully a lot sooner than later and will remember to share all the pics when I go. Until next time!
The best Mediterranean food in Orange County. Fresh and always delicious with fast service. If your in the area around noon, do yourself a favor and stop by and have lunch.
Nice little spot that gets busy enough to keep the food fresh but won't have you waiting for like 10-15 minutes.
The strip plaza its in gets a little congested and parking could be tough.
The food is good. Try the falafel plate or the chicken salad.
This is one of my favorite dinners to pick up on my way home from work. Love the beef kebabs, but honestly go there for the garlic paste. Its insane! It's not cheap when you're buying for a family, but it's healthy and delicious.
