“A group of 11 of us from Canada came and ate here tonight. wow great job. We arrived late to the area hotel and needed to have a home cooked meal. Every order was done perfectly and got our orders all at once. Im not talking deep fried orders. We had the steak 3different ways and everyone was bang on. So good burger was excellent homemade. All of us recommend this place to eat. You won’t be disappointed.”

“This food and the lady who makes it are amazing! The owner is very professional and detail orientated. I ordered from her twice already! I did friend chicken and the ribs, which were both cooked perfect. They were juicy and not dry at all. The sides are amazing as well, I tried the Mac n cheese and the green beans which were both delicious and flavorful. The second time I ordered I got the fish plate, which was breaded just the right amount and was also juicy. Marnies also goes out of her way to make sure you get exactly what you want. Even if it means making the recipe different for your diet or health needs! Will be ordering from her many more times to come!”

“This was my first experience with India cuisine. I ordered the Aloo Gobhi which is a vegetarian entree as well as the lamb tikka masala. Both dishes were amazing full of flavor. The smell alone was delicious coming from both dishes I got them t ok go but the lady that took my order was very nice an polite. She took her time to explain the dishes to me & made some very good recommendations. If your in DHS stop by give them a try. Side note they only sell lamb or chicken here no beef or pork.”

“It's been many, many years since I've played Desert Dunes and I was really excited to get back there as it was a top quality, highly rated, challenging layout. Unfortunately, the decade(s) long golf slowdown, covid19, local competition, etc... may spell the demise for Desert Dunes. The challenging layout and greens were still in play, as was a great greens fee, but the course needs love and more players which might be a catch 22. Without the love the players won't come, and without the players, how can ownership give the course the maintenance it deserves? I'm hoping that the arbitrary regulations imposed on small businesses end soon so that a beautiful facility can rebound. I may have met ownership and he seemed like a great guy who wants the best for a once proud golf course. Go play there, have fun, see the positives the course still has. The greens were better at Desert Dunes than another resort course I played the following day. Fingers crossed.”

“To start, the service was VERY slow and we ended up waiting for around 10 minutes before we were brought water and acknowledged after being seated. After another 5 or so minutes the hostess finally asked us if we had been taken care of yet and went to get our waiter. The waiter, Tommie, was definitely an odd character and for sure had a thing for the lamb. My girlfriend and I are on the laid back side and enjoyed his humor and company, but I can see where he could offend someone or get on their nerves. The original round of breadsticks and Caesar salad (recommended by Tommie) were amazing. The second round of breadsticks weren’t so hot and were chewy and totally different from the first round. I had the chicken parmigiana with pasta and meat sauce and it was definitely good, but nothing to write home about. My girlfriend had the top sirloin with potatoes and veggies. The veggies weren’t seasoned and were lukewarm and the potatoes were almost like breakfast potatoes. The steak was done perfectly and the seasoning very good, however it seemed like almost half the steak was fat. Tommie recommended a tiramisu to end the night and he made a great recommendation again! Overall, for not having a lot around the resort I was staying at (restaurant is in the resort), this place wasn’t bad, but could use some consistency.”
