Food is good and fresh. Been coming to Jimmy's since high school! Best comfort soul food.

    Friendly, humble, efficient staff.
Calling in to make an eggroll & papaya salad order was easy. Payment in person was a breeze so nevermind those bad reviews put by others.
Papaya $5.00 & Beef Eggrolls were 0.75 cents a piece. They sell L&J's beef jerkies too, the kind with crispy fat. Unsure if this LJ company is related to the true original recipe maker of this jerky: a man named Larry in the Del Paso Heights' Northern part of Strawberry Manors hood. God rest his soul. There's lots of african-american people hanging outside of this establishment but they're cool, they don't harass or approach you, but their cars block the small parking lot. They used to have a tall African security guy here, he was friendly. These Asian Hmong owners ARE NICE, maybe you think they're rude because you're the one not chatting with them!!! Total recommend to try this place out. Their soul food is good too, try their turkey wing, it's slow boiled with bell peppers, fall off the bone soft - it's incredible over their rice!

Bro Jimmy's is an institution. Nestled in the hearts of the heights right next to Grant Union High School this Asian Cuisine and soul food conglomerate perfectly Blends in the urban and inner city environment of minority and people of color. Although you would think it's operated by Hmong people the main clientele are black Americans but that doesn't mean you won't see Mexicans as well as white folk supporting the business. It's food menu is rather diverse from Asian sausage to Spaghetti to Soul Food but their best thing are their hamburgers I swear to God some of the best hamburgers in the whole state of California can be found in the hood in Del Paso Heights at Jimmy's

I love Jimmy's. Besides home cooking its one of the best places for soul food in all of the sacramento area. Its a little market that you irder your food up front at the register then go to tge back to get it. You might be surprised when you see Asians preparing and serving soul food that tastes like Aunt Nellie used to make. But when Jimmy sold the place all if his recipes went with it.

This place has been here for a minute. It's a little hole in the wall but the food is so good! They have breakfast, lunch and dinner but it's not a sit down restaurant, its a take your food home and enjoy restaurant. The staff are very friendly. You order at the front register, pay and you pick up your order at the back. They will call your number when your order is ready. It's always busy so it's best to call and place your order, if you know what you want. My favorite is the turkey wing dinner. They smother the turkey wing in a sauce over rice. You get two sides and corn bread. Try the peach cobbler its very good. If you go, let me know if you like it or not. Enjoy!
