The Captain's Anchorage

Went for Mother's Day meal with my wife. The service was excellent, we were well taken care of. The food was outstanding. I had the Prime Rib. Ordered the 16 oz cut, looked more like 20, very generous portions. Great atmosphere.

Was really good, however more expensive than it taste. Lots of flavors in the salmon but IDK just kinda so so. Maybe I wasn't hungry enough. Boyfriend says prime rib was great and worth the price. I guess it depends on your taste.

(This is a repeat I accidentally posted on my wife's page before)The restaurant has a lodge type of setting. The prime rib is great at this place there are many options to choose from to eat. The price is a little up there but is still a place you don't need to be all dressed up for. My wife had the steak and fish. The steak was very juice could have been seasoned a little better. The fish was a fried seabass, that was very good and came with a tasty creamy sauce. Make sure if you don't want to sit in the bar area (which isn't bad) call for reservation. I'll add to this and say the dinning experience was really great were in conversation with people all around us. It very much felt like the neighborhood hangout. Will be back next time up the mountain.

The salmon is so good! Great customer service as well. We will definitely be back.

Kinda pricey but so worth it with the soup and salad bar. Got a very nice spot by the fire and staff was very friendly. They also sang me happy birthday and gave me a very tasty slice of cheesecake. Perfect way to celebrate my birthday dinner.
