Even at night the ocean views at Jake's are amazing. This is my 3rd time eating here but first time for dinner. I've never had a bad meal and the service has always been great. My wife and I split a salad and an entree because if you learn one thing about Jake's, it's to save room for the hula pie. Trust me, its great. Also, had a great drink and beer menu to go along with the meal.

One of the best places we ate on our trip. The sunset was amazing. The margaritas were great. The service was awesome. Well worth getting a reservation for.

Being located on the beach makes the atmosphere a winner to start with. Inside, it's a little tight, but very nice. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is where I downgrade my review. I went with the seafood chowder and seafood ravioli. The chowder was good, but not very flavorful. The seafood ravioli was, again, good, but not great. The pasta was right on the verge of mushy. It was one giant ravioli and the stuffed part was concentrated in the middle. For the price tag, there should have been a bit more stuffing in the ravioli. Definitely recommend going, but maybe try the short ribs instead. If you do, let me know how they are!

A trendy restaurant on an oceanfront street in Del Mar, located steps away from the Pacific Ocean. A good variety of dishes for land and sea food lovers. Prices are typical for Del Mar - pricey and not much in terms of serving size. Seating is plentiful, but wait times can be long at peak times for lunch and for dinner. Nice bar with helpful staff. Parking is valet, but you can park on the street at meters for fraction of a cost, if you just can find a spot.
