Double Happiness

If you are looking for authentic and tasty Chinese food, Double Happiness is the restaurant of choice in the Del Mar/Solana Beach/Carmel Valley coastal area. The food is excellent, service is great. We have never been disappointed by any meal. Our waitress keeps on checking to make sure we are good. The staff keeps the teapot refilled if you need more. They provide take-out service too. Parking is behind the building so go east on 10th. Indoor seating or "indoor" patio. Our favorite Chinese restaurant!!

The customer service is great and the salt and pepper wings are delicious! I would definitely recommend this place!

Two menus mean twice as much to love! For many years this was a classic "American Chinese" restaurant, with tasty but predictable fare. Current owners wisely kept the classic menu Del Mar residents have grown to love over the years. They also added a second Shanghai-style menu with dishes rarely seen in this part of town. My favorite is the braised pork belly with picked vegetables & the soups are superb, too. Very glad to have this neighborhood green do close to home.

Had a great time at this restaurant. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere. Very authentic Chinese style environment and the low light was a nice finishing touch. The food was tasty and the staff was extremely friendly and pleasant. Easy five stars :)

The most authentic Chinese food Ive ever had. The atmosphere is very authentic to the culture. Had several dishes and everything was fantastic. I ate at this establishment 16 years ago and it hasnt changed at all.
