(February 27, 2019, 6:00 pm)This is really a great cafe which we found by pure luck. Minus 1 star for taking cash only, but otherwise a 5 star cafe.
I ordered the BlackBerry pancake which was huge and delicious. The bacon is also terrific. With more time, the corn beef hash would have been of interest.
Wait staff was really great. Dining room was clean and charming.
Recommended as a super place for breakfast. -

(February 3, 2019, 4:20 pm)A favorite family friendly eatery near Carlsbad. San Diego friends told us about this place. Reasonable prices, huge tasty pancakes. I have never had to wait, although the dining room is fairly small (we usually come midmorning). Cash only.

(December 10, 2018, 6:59 pm)Always loved this place since childhood. Massive "manhole sized" pancakes always good. I ask for chocolate chips and granola in mine and they always accommodate me. House red potatos are always tasty and house salsa delicious and fresh. Wooden booths with wood slab tables very homey and always good strong diner coffee. Favorite local spot.
