Mario's De La Mesa Restaurant

First time there and I already feel part of the family! Best Mexican restaurant in San Diego. It's going to be my new favorite place, I already want everything on the menu!

Food was good. Staff were very patient and nice. They had good options for kids. Restaurant was very cute!

I haven't been here in a couple of years until today. This place is still fantastic! Wish it was located closer to home

This is what I would consider authentic Mexican food. The chips are fresh, the salsa is perfect, the carne asada burrito with guacamole was amazing! A couple friends got mimosas (2 different flavors) and both were raved about. Another friend got a margarita and said it was really good as well. I paid about $15 for my burrito which came with rice and beans and I'd say for the amount of food, that price was fair. The waiter checked in on us regularly but not to the point of irritating us. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars was due to the receipts we received. There were 5 of us and we requested individual checks. They had a number of charges on each receipt but no description of what those charges were for. If I hadn't asked about them, I would have been charged for some of my friends drinks. It's not an uncommon issue though (no matter where you go) when you split the check so I wasn't too surprised to find discrepancies. I definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in this cuisine but I do suggest screening your charges if you're splitting the bill like we did.

The food is really good chips are fresh. Nice people very acomadating. Will be going back more often.????????
