Surf Rider Pizza Co.

This place has fantastic pizza! Many different toppings, great flavor, terrific sauce and crust. They also have a full bar and a pretty good beer selection. You order at the bar, and find your own table. There were no bussers when we were there, and it was pretty busy, so the takes we're pretty dirty and everything was in a slight bit of disarray. But the food is worth it, and the staff is very nice and helpful.

This place has such good pizza! I got the surf rider pizza and my boyfriend got the pepperoni. Their slices are super huge and it was so hard to decide which flavor to get they all looked so good. Their pastries are delicious too! I bought 2 of the carrot cake cookies to go because they were so good! The atmosphere there is pretty cool they have a small lawn with giant connect 4 and lots of outdoor and indoor seating. They have a bar too, but we didn't venture over there. Overall I enjoyed surf rider pizza and would definitely come back again!

Great pizza, great drinks, vibrant setting.

The pizza we've tried is ordered by the slice, thin and crispy, prepared by re-heating in their large pizza oven. There's a good variety of options on their menu, which you can browse in their display case. So far we love the Pesto Spinach Delish and the Spicy Veggie.

Cocktails at the indoor bar are delicious. So far we've tried the mule and the blackberry tequila specialty drinks. The mule differs slightly from the standard, but holds its own. The tequila outshines all drinks in its category. I'd rather have this than a margarita in most cases. We'll keep coming back just for this drink, but it helps that the pizza is so good!

Only complaints are the environment. There's a lot of outdoor seating, but not very much indoor space for cold evenings. The place also seems to be a very popular place for families to bring their kids, which brings some chaos to the bar area even later into the evening.

Overall, it's a fun, beach and surf themed pizza restaurant with great, thin & crispy pizza by the slice and refreshing drinks at the bar!

Man, the pizza here is really good. Good quality too. It would be nice if the prices were a little more affordable because I would love to eat here all the time. But they do have a two slice and a drink deal so that's cool at least.

A great addition to downtown La Mesa. A great place to bring the kids, have some pizza, and relax and grab a beer with the wife. It is very kid friendly. They have a play area that will keep the children entertained while you have a beer and chill. The prices are very reasonable! Like I said earlier, a great addition to La Mesa!!!
