    I am actually always super impressed with this place. Sure it’s a chain Mexican food restaurant, but it’s consistent and the customer service there CANNOT BE BEAT! More than once I order through Uber Eats and they would call me to clarify my order and once I had forgotten to mark that I wanted salsa so someone called to ask what kind I wanted. Now THAT’S above and beyond customer service! Keep up the good work

    Sombrero is definitely "San Diego style" Mexican food. If you're still expecting hole-in-the-wall, then you may be disappointed. Sombrero is way more commercialized and to some maybe too Taco Bell-ish (that's not meant to be offensive). This location is a bit smaller than Mission Gorge but it's proximity to the Lake Murray area makes it a win. Food is consistent with other locations. I do wish they had a news/sports station on the TV instead of food photos. I'm already here eating, I don't need to be marketed to... UPDATE: they added another TV ????

    Its new location fresh and not broken in and I don't have to drive to lakeside to get a og california burrito. Good to have in the hood
