Cococabana

My wife and I had a great experience. We were greated and seated quickly. We did have shade where we were sat. I did see some tables with no shade. The cocktails were great and the food was delicious. We will be back.

Best Rooftop Bar in Oceanside! Not only does Cococabana have excellent food and drinks but it's located at the top of the renovated Brick Hotel in downtown Oceanside. How often do you get a chance to watch the sunset over the Pacific ocean while sipping a fun and fruity drink served in a coconut, while noshing on cajun/creole inspired food, while sitting on the rooftop of a renovated historical building from 1888?
We arrived a little before sunset on opening weekend and the staff was so friendly. Our server Emily was very helpful and gave us the scoop on on all the small plates menu items. We had the Wagyu skewers which literally melted in your mouth and the charbroiled oysters were smoky and delicious. The real delighful surprise was the wild mushrooms cooked in jerk butter and served in a small cast iron pot swimming in avocado crema and topped with an egg yolk that put the dish over the top. Highly recommend it! The cocktails were yummy with fun names like Crocket & Tubbs, Swedish Bikini Team and Caribe Welcome. The place has such a beachy Oceanside vibe to it. We can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!

Gorgeous view! That's probably the top draw for this place. Take the elevator to the 4th floor. It's nice, new, trendy but lacking in substance really. Lots of pink, gold and flamingos. We came for brunch, I had the breakfast potato which was ok and the bloody mary also just ok. Service was fast. I think it was probably a one and done for me unfortunately.

The hype is real! Honestly, some of the best food I have ever had in Oceanside. The flavors are unique, understated, and SPOT ON. The mushroom dish, the steak (the one with the creamy-peppery sauce), and the grilled oysters were stand outs, but I came with a large group and ordered one of everything on the menu and NOT ONE THING was disappointing.
