    When I spend a day enjoying an afternoon on Shelter Island I usually grab a sandwich at The Subway. Service is friendly and the place is clean. Some Subways just are too cramped to eat comfortably but here it is more spacious. Food is good and consistent. Lunch time is busy so allow some extra time for your order. They work to move the line along. Definitely worth stopping for lunch.
