Szechuan House

When my wife and I first stepped into this restaurant we were kindly received by the hostess/ waitress. Sitting down we instantly noticed the homely feel of the establishment. From the classical music, to the comfortable booths, to even the small and detail oriented decorations, we felt we had stepped into someone’s home rather than a “open late” restaurant. We proceeded to order the Chicken noodle soup, Egg fried rice, and Beef chow mein. As far as expectations we were taken by surprise by how amazingly the food was prepared. The fried rice is especially reminiscent of how it would be prepared in Singapore which was impressive. My wife could not compliment the food enough. Never have we felt so welcomed in a restaurant and as if the food had been prepared especially for us. When it came to pricing, the prices were reasonable and by the end of our course we didn’t mind tipping a large amount because we felt so taken care of. We are so glad we found this gem and could not recommend this place enough.

This is a must visit of you're in San Diego. The staff were super friendly and genuinely interested in serving you. The food is good and properly priced. Warm smiles, great atmosphere, good food and above and beyond customer service. Five Stars!

Chinese food and the setting at this location is super good. good place to hang and eat some good food. i think i might become a regular. the place has an awesome feel to it. like a restaurant in washington i liked.

Great food, speedy service. Take out in less than 20 minutes. Inside of the restaurant is fairly nice. Food quality is great. Grubhub services this establishment. Would definitely eat here again & recommend.

Wow! The most authentic Chinese food that I’ve ever had. Came in for dinner and the service was great. The owner was very sweet and she was very attentive when we needed something. Would definitely go back next week.
