The Fancy Fish

This place is amazing, owners are nice and very deserving of your business. And with some great fish n chips for $8, you can't go wrong

My family and I were greeted as soon as we entered. The menu had a lot to choose from and the food was very tasty. My young children were very satisfied. The fish was very fresh and my digestive system was very grateful. When we visit San Diego again, we certainly will return to The Fancy Fish.

Try the soft crab shell bao NOW!!! SO good! We walked in there to try this specifically and we were not disappointed. The customer service was really good and the cashier made some sauce suggestions which was thoughful of her. We just went there to have an appetizer type meal but we will be back to try other things!

The place is nothing fancy but has decent space, pretty good vibe and decor and most importantly they serve great food!

Their lunch special, fish and chips for $8 is amazing. And their shrimp and chips for $9.50 is also great. The portion is just right and they also have great variety of sauce to choose from. That said, the lunch special only comes with tar-tar sauce. You have to get the fancy fish menu to choose their other sauce. And among them, their garlic butter is one of the best!

Definitely would be back to this place again

So glad I found this place. They are great! Not just the food but the service. The food is fresh and cooked to order. You can taste the quality of the fish that is used. The entire establishment is also very clean and well-maintained. I will definitely be back! Might be my new go-to stop to pick up dinner on my way home.
