Bale French Sandwiches

A fair amount of seating considering how small the actual shop is. Great prices for what you get - $4.25 for a sandwich and $1.40 for 2 chicken eggrolls at the time of this writing. Fast and friendly service and I was pleasantly surprised about how fresh everything was. The sandwiches have all of the requisite ingredients - a little mayo, pickled carrot and daikon, cilantro, cucumber, jalepeno, and pate (often missing from sandwiches from other places). Eggroll and baguette were very fresh. Would try another sandwich there (and more eggrolls)

Superior bread on the banh mi. Flavorful meats on the thit nuong and nem nuong sandwiches. Fresh ingredients although not one of the larger in size. Engaging owner. Limited snacks.

The major competitor in Mira Mesa for banh mi sandwiches along with Cali Baguette Express. They raised their prices for 2019, which makes them a bit more expensive that Cali Baguette at $4.25 per sandwich now.

The bread is doughy rather than crusty like the more classic baguettes. I prefer the fillings here as well, but both places have their merits. My go-to is the #5 BBQ pork.

I think they're even better here than at the famed K Sandwiches. It's not the best banh mi I've had before, but it's pretty darn good.

Always have a great experience here. I love how the young lady noticed when I wasn't coming in for a couple of weeks. They seem to make you part of the family when you bring home their foods.
