Alexander's

I came here for my bday once back in 2018 and ever since then I never looked back. I absolutely love this place. I had to come back to celebrate my bday once again in 2019 and now I go every other Monday for their pizza specials. SOOOO delicious and good customer service, never disappoints.

Alexander's is always a treat to visit, and this trip was no exception. I am a big fan of Risotto, and Alexander's has one of the best. Their Coastal Risotto is one of the few actually cooked PERFECTLY. It's primary flavor comes from very large scallops and sun dried tomatoes. Their servings are so generous, I can get three meals from the one dinner portion!

Alexander’s on 30th has great food and a beautiful outdoor dining area! We got their Mac and Cheese and built our own pizza, and they were both delicious. The Mac and Cheese definitely gave us a great cheese pull moment! Their garlic bread and baked feta were excellent appetizers as well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who happens to be in the area!

This was my favorite gem in SD. I love the ambiance and the quality of food.
I have gone a dozen times or so over the years including for special occasions.

The last two times I went I felt like the quality has declined. I am not one to over exaggerate so I will give my honest account.

Customer service changed because the quality of staff seemed to not match the quality of food or style of restaurant. I don’t judge a book by its cover but as a marketing executive I know that you certainly set a stage or expectation based on visuals. Basically care was not something of a concern. I had to remind multiple times to bring bread, drinks, and waited too long for the check.

Quality of food changed because none of the food I got was hot. Maybe a result of the above but it was surprisingly luke warm and it wasn’t the dish type, it just wasn’t as it should be.

I had once thought that they should raise their prices because the quality and service was so amazing. This is why I am writing a review because I simply noticed a change that has made it hard for me to refer or return to what was at one time a great place in such a highly competitive industry and area.

Definitely a place to visit. Host was gracious and friendly. I had to call and change my reservation time and he didn't give me any attitude about it which was so refreshing. Danny was our waiter and he was great! Food was phenomenal and we didn't have to wait long to be served. Will be heading back there very soon, customer service was on point!
