    Great North Indian food (Punjabi) for takeout only. Very heavy cream and oily though

    Hands down, the best Indian food in town! Ingredients are fresh, breads are amazing and food is delicious. Try out their other restaurant Tandoori Express in Point Loma as well. I'm getting hungry just writing it:)

    Rishi took our order and informed us that they were takeout only and he was nice enough to set up a table with a heater for my family while we waited for the food. The food came out fresh and hot and as specified in terms to spice levels, etc. I’d highly recommend Clay Oven to anyone craving some authentic Indian food in the La Jolla area.

    Best I have found in San Diego after six years of searching! Fresh, light flavorful and spice levels perfect (medium-hot). Get take out, you won’t be disappointed.

    We took my son there for his birthday after reading the reviews and were so impressed. The food was delicious with multi-layered flavors and large portions. It was all freshly prepared and came out steaming hot. The owner even checked in with us to see how we liked it. It was honestly some of the best Indian food we've ever had (and I'm Indian). We'll definitely be back when we're in town and highly recommend it to others.
