International Smoke

Everybody enjoyed their meals. Portion sizes were very large and it is possible for two people to share a main dish. It seems as though the kitchen is still trying to get their act together as service was slow. They have limited vegetarian options (not surprising). They do have gluten free options.

The Korean marinated ribs were delicious and the amber ale mixed in so eloquently! The seasoned sweet potatoes and oysters (especially the oysters) were just as amazing. Everything came out so quickly, I waited no more then 10-15 minutes for everything to come out. Was also pleasantly surprised with the quality as well as the taste of the food here. The photos do not do any of it justice!

Serious props to Ben, the bartender, for the menu recommendations and top notch service. Really glad I opted to sit at the bar!

Sadly I'm only visiting town for work but I'll definitely be making another stop here the next time I'm back in the area. I highly recommend giving International Smoke a try if you're looking for high quality food with a beautiful crafted venue to go along with it.

Tasty food. Great atmosphere and service. Some.of the items on the menu are a bit pricey but I had a good time. Kids menu is good and reasonably priced.i forgot to take a photo of the locomoco but it was delicious

Went here for San Diego restaurant week. We ended up ordering off the regular menu because the restaurant week menu was just too much food. Pretty much a decent sized sample of everything on their menu. Our friends got it though so we all got a taste of just about everything. The dishes ranged from good to fantastic. Highlight of the meal for me was a fantastic kale and quinoa salad. One star off for prices that I felt were a little higher than justified. Service was good though they apparently had a disaster in the kitchen with a shelf full of food got knocked over. This delayed some of our meal as they recooked it. I don't hold that against them though since that made it right.

Opening night was fabulous. Flawless! Very cool atmosphere, great energy. Service is Excellent. The menu had very creative options.We started off with the Thai coconut crab soup which had just the right amount of fire. It was complemented with the corn bread which added some sweetness for the perfect balance. We then have the arugula salad which was absolutely fresh and amazing with just a little crunch of nuts. The seafood platter was presented beautifully on a bed of rocksalt and Wood fired. Lobster was sweet and succulent and the oysters were Quite a hit! We finished off with That’s dessert that I just cannot recall the name of but it was bananas and ice cream on a pastry and it was presented beautifully By being dressed at the table. The service was excellent. We will definitely return!
