This was my second visit, the first time I loved it and couldn't wait to go again, but this time was very disappointing. I had the fried French toast and it was saturated with grease. I also had a side of eggs that seemed to be egg substitutes. The Bloody Mary tasted great but for a full price cocktail lacked the kick. I much prefer the sister restaurant Sweet Maple which has been absolutely great every time and the staff is much friendlier.
Very good, if I could rate a 4.5 I would. Their sister restaurant Blackwood has a Thai flair for breakfast, which I personally prefer. Kitchen Story is a more traditional take on breakfast, with some other twists in there. Both the pancakes my boyfriend got and the French toast I got were phenomenal, huge portions, just a little pricier than I would have preferred.
Bit weird having pancakes/french toast with fried eggs, but separately they were good. What is essential to try here is the millionaire bacon. Thick, greasy, slightly spicy and a bit sweet
My sweet n sour soup was pretty good. The fruit bucket was fun but price too steep at $36 for just ice, champagne, and fruit. I would drop it to 25 or something like that... the flowers were nice. The music in bathroom was nice. The bacon is good. ????
In a word.. DELICIOUS! The ricotta pancakes are to die for! It was a lovely breakfast. The portion is huge, so it's great for sharing. The chicken mango sausage is also amazing! Don't miss out on it! Very friendly servers and a great time eating outside. I will gladly return next time I'm in SF.
