Simple food, but really yummy. Ordering is quick 'n easy: select your chicken, type of rice, and then a sauce. The chicken is moist and uncomplicated, the rice: good, and the sauce: super tasty! Worth visiting more than once :)

Really flavorful rice and moist chicken. Upgrading to the combo plate, adding extra meat, and/or a soft poached egg is definitely the way to go. The price is definitely SF pricing ($11 - $15 per bowl) but this is one of the better chicken rice places in SF.

The dishes are very simple. They are very healthy. Most dishes you could cook at home. Great sauces. Great location. Excellent customer service.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The menu is straightforward (you choose breast or thigh or a mixture, type of rice and sauce). When I went there was a little bit of a wait for the food (I think they were busier than expected and they were cooking more of something) but once it arrived it was really yummy and hit the spot. I got the most popular sauce style (soy something?) with thigh meat and chicken rice. They were out of breast but I don't prefer it anyway. It had some pickles as well. And it was around New Years so they handed out free little cups of rose! Nice touch! I don't have a lot of experience with the phenomenon of "chicken rice" but if it's anything like Gai then I'm all for it!

Great Thai style chicken rice. Chicken rice was tasty, both dark and white meat we're moist and flavorful and the hainan sauce was ginger and garlicky.

Definitely recommend for a quick and tasty chicken rice pickup. Also has decent selection if beers to wash it down.
