Believe the #hype. The $63 roast chicken for 2 is worth every penny. We didn’t eat half the bread in the salad, but it was still delicious. Also definitely get the ricotta gnocchi, we could have eaten 5 more servings they were so light and tasty. Excellent service. Would visit again.

I went here to try what has been called the best roast chicken and the best caesar salad in San Francisco. The food was truly worth the hype!!! Every bite was sublime. And where we were seated could not have been a more perfect spot. Overlooking the oven where so much fabulous roasting and baking takes place.

Spectacular as always. I always forget how good the shoestring potatoes are. You should always order some for the team table. Had a spectacular bittersweet chocolate sorbet with green Olive oil and sea salt. Truly amazing combination of flavor.

Everything we had was well-made and tasty... but not deeply memorable, so not worth the expensive prices. I recommend it for straightforward, simple American food -- and for people on an expense account.

Loved it. Wonderful food and fantastic service. The chicken was worth the wait; the blend of savory meat and crispy skin along with the acidity of the bread salad was heaven. Yeah, I say bread salad. It's a thing. The cocktails were delicious and strong, too. Hugely impressive all around!
