“Amazing food! I would definitely give this place a 5 star review based on its food and location. The only reason I’m giving it a 3 is because of their employee AVERY. All the employees were very accommodating except for AVERY who doesn’t seem to have any common sense or decency. I came to eat breakfast with my family (2 others). We grabbed a table outside that so happened to have only 2 seats. I walked over to another table next to me and asked the couple if I could borrow one of their 4 chairs. They politely said yes so I took the chair and started to walk it over to my table to sit with my family. AVERY insisted I couldn’t move the chair over 5 feet to my table because it broke code. Even though the table right next to us had just done the EXACT same thing and he said nothing. l was able to borrow another gentleman’s chair after he offered politely and I sat and enjoyed my meal. HOWEVER my point of this review is warn people of AVERY. The poor guy just isn’t very smart. I felt it was necessary for AVERY to know how much he sucks and probably shouldn’t be working in customer service.”

“I was very happy with this small establishment! I try to avoid them thinking the food won't be that great, but man was it good! I got the chicken tacos and the meat was cooked perfectly. Such a good flavor and loved the toppings. My husband was very happy with the fish and chips he ordered! We go to Malibu for seafood and he has yet to find something he likes. So I was happy he found delicious fish here :) I would definitely come back. And love the tables over looking the bay. Its so relaxing”

“This place is a definite stop so you can enjoy the beautiful waterside outdoor patio and eat the best delicious seafood! Dogs are welcomed and they will bring your dog a bowl of fresh water. Lil doggie ? bone treats are in a basket inside, just ask if you don’t see it. You can buy fresh fish and take it home to grill, that’s what I do a lot. Fresh local halibut or in season local sea bass! Sometimes your eating and look out and see a sea lion swimming by or the cute ? otters!”

“Been going to Hungry fish since I was a child and still love visiting to this day with my daughter. Breakfast is our favorite and we are never disappointed. Eggs are always on point, French toast and pancakes are beautiful and golden brown. It's good simple "diner" style breakfast and it's always consistent. We leave full and happy every time. The wait staff is also excellent-attentive and not pushy or hovering. Tip them well! They deserve it!”

“We ordered oysters and scallops for an online delivery. The oysters came on time but the order was missing scallops. We contacted them right away and within a few days a new shipment of scallops was sent out. I really appreciated their customer service and their willingness to make this right. The oysters and scallops were amazing!! We had ordered their shucking knife as well and it works great. We live in a landlocked area with no fresh oysters we trust. We’re so excited to find Giovanni’s and their reliable delivery service!”

“LOVE this place. Quick, easy and tasty-tasty-TASTY! I'm addicted to the Poke Bowls, and the Firecracker Shrimp. (my mouth is watering thinking about both) I'm looking forward to exploring more of the menu, if I can ever tear myself away from those two items. Eat on their picnic tables outside, take it home, or grab-n-go and walk down to the Rock, where you can watch the otters in the Bay while you enjoy your meal. You can't go wrong here. “I love this place so much. Found it by accident the first time a year ago just looking for somewhere to eat that was open late, and it blew us out of the water it was so good. I would say it’s in my top 5 favorite restaurants. Since Finding it the first time I’ve come back two other times and gone a few hours out of my travel way to go here, and taken a trip to morro bay to show my husband this restaurant. Staff is always so personable and friendly, so helpful. I’ve gotten the clam chowder in a sourdough bowl all three times because it’s so good, but I’ve tried burgers from other people I’ve gone with and it’s one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. We had the bread pudding tonight, and if they have it for dessert when you go, it’s worth the dessert to get it. SO FREAKING GOOD. Seriously love this place. I’ll be back as often as I can.”

“Fantastic place to eat! We sat outside at night and they had heated lamps because it can get chilly but I was extremely comfortable and not cold at all ( it’s easy for me to get the chills) . The clam chowder was great. I truly enjoyed the blackened pacific rock fish - very flavorful. Tasteful hot bread rolls and butter while you wait for your food. Excellent service - we were seated swiftly and the waitress was extremely attentive. COVID PLUS - this is during Covid times - I saw them disinfect the tables before and after guests leave there tables. Great COVID procedures to make someone feel at ease.”

“It was a pleasant environment with seating outside with a wonderful view. I got the seafood omelette that had REAL crab! Our server Emily was really kind. My only feedback is that there were pieces of crab shell in the omelette as shown in the pics. Our server was wonderful and offered to bring me another omelette and take it off my check. “We looked at many menus looking for a crab dinner and this was one of the only places we saw that offered it so we decided to give it a try. They have a friendly staff and a cozy interior. We got the cod fish and chips, the crab dinner, a cup of clam chowder and the sundae dessert. The clam chowder is really good. It's not runny or watery like at other places. The crab dinner is priced fairly for all you get! Overall our experience was really nice, we will definitely be back!”

The entire time we were there I watched as our waitress, Katy, went out of her way to make sure every order was exactly what her customers asked for. Even going so far as to verify with the head chef both before, and after the food was done cooking if everything was as it was ordered. Laughing, joking, and keeping a bright atmosphere the whole time. If your not sure what to get, make sure you check the board above the bar for recommendations. Everything was delicious.”
