“Ate here while staying at the Inn. I am a vegan and besides a couple vegetable side dishes, there was nothing on the menu for me to enjoy as an entree. Ended up paying a lot for pasta with olive oil & garlic as a sauce. What I did eat was good. In 2024, surprised to find such a carnivore only menu.”

“Yes I know we come from the valley, why eat Mexican food? We couldn't resist the scent of charbroiled asada in the air. Then you already had me at homemade tortillas. Say less!!!”

“Had a weekday delivery order through DoorDash. Mama got a small pizza, good crust, ample toppings, but lacking sauce. Papa got a medium pizza, good flavor, tasty crust, but again, lacking sauce. The DoorDash app needs to add an "extra sauce" option... also, Papa ordered garlic on his pizza, but could not find any. Also, got the sweet chili boneless chicken, very good! Finally, the cinnamon cookie dessert was excellent! Everything delivered hot, overall really good, we will order again!”

“The flavors were delicious in all the items we ordered, my red tacos had way to much cheese and not enough meat, I had to check it there was meat included cause all I tasted was a mouthful of cheese. When the pork should be the star of the dish. They didn’t have any beverages besides alcoholic. The burrito was good, it didn’t need the over fried queso cheese on top of it, and was a bit overpriced. I feel the dishes could have come with a side of rice and beans. Might make a return trip to try the ramen.”

“The Sandcastle Hotel is literally right in the beach. The little restaurant opens onto a large patio with comfortable chairs and couches with umbrellas and gas fire pits. It's a great place to watch the sunset. The rooms are clean and updated. Comfortable beds and many rooms with an ocean view. Right on the boardwalk and very close to all the shops and restaurants.”

“They rebranded the restaurant inside the hotel, we went during brunch, I walked slowly to our table on the heated patio to see what people were ordering, everything looked so good. Avocado toast | French toast | Churros & double Tito’s we’re all enjoyed. 😋 (I wish I took pics of the food) Everyone was friendly, great service, food was beautifully presented, and I wish them luck on the new digs. It feels like a cape cod hotel, with a Spanish flare menu, and it oddly works! 🙌🏽 😆 *They need to tell customers to leave reviews, with pictures!”

“Nice staff, good food and fair priced :) The pizza in the pictures are the personal size (smallest size). They also got all of our orders right first time even though the burger was a pretty complicated order (changed a lot on the burger). I recommend!”

“We went to pismo beach on last weekend and had lunch at the grinning bear, I must say it is one of the best place to get sandwiches, onion ring and if you are fan of waffle-chicken with maple syrup then please. try out. It was a truck before but they move to one of the shop, has sitting area and enjoying yummy food. I will recommend to all friends.”

“Excellent fish and chips. The freshest fish in Pismo. Dont be fooled by other fish and chip restaurants. This place has a humble atmosphere with an awesome owner. Dine in or buy your own fresh fish and cook at home. You will not be disappointed.”

“We were there on a Wednesday night about 5:15 and we're able to park close in. We didn't have reservations and they said the restaurant was full until 7:30 so we got a table in the bar area. This is a raised area above the main restaurant level and you can see over people out the windows to the ocean. It was very picturesque. The food was good, the staff was attentive, and the service was nice. We enjoyed it. It was a little bit pricey for us, but we'll go back again.”

“Summed up: The food was full of flavor, cooked wonderfully, the view was nice, the service was friendly and quick, and drinks were tasty. We would go back again. Details: I ordered the Grilled Salmon Salad at our servers recommendation, and it was delicious! Grilled to perfection, moist not dry but still crispy on the outside. The appetizers were good too; I ordered the large pretzel. It was hot, soft, lightly salted, and very, very yummy. The margarita was on the rocks, and let me tell you they don't water down the drink. Blue Raspberry lemonade Margarita was really good. Refreshing to drink on a warm day. Even the waters tasted clean and refreshing (none of that "treated" chemical taste). Anthony took care of us. He did an amazing job. Very friendly, professional, courteous, and quick. He worked with us on our somewhat strange seating arrangement request and didn't miss a step. I would go back for sure, knowing Anthony would be taking care of us again. The manager/owner was very cool too. He started talking to my parents took a friendly interest in them. He took time out of his busy schedule to talk to them, share a story, and in the end - even took their dirty plates. I don't see that often and I think his leadership skills definitely shine at this restaurant. He sets an excellent example. He also gave them a treat as a token of his appreciation. All of this led to a 5 star review and a wish that we lived in the area so we could come back. We're just passing through, but if we ever pass through again, know that I'll be stopping by again for more of this. Keep up the great work!”

“Absolutely loved the food from The Green Olive! I had the Greek salad with Gyro and it was seriously unbelievable and huge! I would go there every week if I lived in Pismo or nearby. I will be going back every year. The spicy dip/sauce was awesome and the shrimp skewers and chicken skewers my family got they loved.”

“Denise is really seem to have improved in their service and wait time. The food that is ordered is good and usually it's my mom and I that go there and we enjoy the servers they seem to know us and we like the chit chat back and forth with them. Sometimes the wait is a little bit long to get your food but they make up for it and being very friendly.”

“Love the spicy Italian. Toasted of coarse with bell peppers, onions, jalapenos and banana peppers. With sweet onion sauce so I can have heat and sweet! The customer service here was pleasant. Thank you!”

“Pretty disappointing to be honest. The Hot Night Roll was a hot mess. Maybe I just don't care for spicy oil, but all other flavors were over powered by its smell and taste. Also got the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl. The chicken was dry and unflavored other than the sauce and the rice was mushy. Overall the food was just average at best, at least for this dining experience.”

“We ordered take out. I had the fish sandwich. Very generous with everything. There were about 3 large pieces of fish in my sandwich and the onion rings were the best that i have had in a long time. My friend had the club. Everything was fresh.”
